Which one is PA?

Also I hope ActionJeff wins and a side prize is a two-week LA sight-seeing vacation.

As a teenager I used to play three pool tournaments a week and they never shut players out even if there were 23. A bye system is completely random and fair to all players. There are even alternate ways to do it to make it "even more fair" if possible.

Those players that DON'T get a buy only put up half the entry fee, i.e. they get a 50% refund and the winner gets into the finished bracket. For example, if you had a 67 players put up 10k a piece, the prize pool would still be $640,000.

6 players would put up only 5k while the other 61 put up the full 10k. The 3 winners of the extra matches are now in the 64 and you proceed as normal.

I'm against the idea of tournaments like shootouts or heads up events turning away players and don't see any logical reason for it.
Fwiw, here is the complaint/analysis written by my friend Thomas Fuller after last year's WSOP HU event. Again, I don't quite understand why using byes is so unfair (since everyone has an equal shot at a bye), but Thomas uses math and stuff to support his position here, so maybe some of y'all will comprehend it better.

IMO, PA would be the one to most likely forget about the tournament, followed by:
Ivey, Bloch, Ferguson, Elezra, Singer and Hansen.

Automatically registered after he bubbled an FTOPS event, so he might miss that to....

Sick tournament! I'm not a railtard but I'll watch this one. It would be nice if all tournament was filmed and we could watch it on web.

Can't wait for this.

I find it sad how some of us fanboys who have nothing invested into this shootout can't wait for this and some pros who actually invested the 25,000$ might forget about it.

They're going to be doing key hands with commentary from Ali Nejad and Chris Ferguson after the tournament.

It looks like the semis/finals get played Sunday afternoon.

Joke would be even funnier if this many people actually did it, they got to 128, and they all lost 25k for a laugh.

Would be sick if enough people actually registered and you were forced to play vs Ivey for 25k.
