Tawain and Japan are also extreme examples of countries that would have pro-US sentiment for geopolitical reasons. The reason being is that both of them would much rather remain in US sphere of influence than the (probably inevitable) ending up in China sphere of influence.

If the alternative in Ecuador was becoming a Chinese puppet state (or being absorbed into China), US sentiment might be a little higher.

Agreed, we need to let the Chinese government slide for doing everything they could to hide whistle blowers and letting this thing spread. I also think we need to stop teaching about the holocaust or terrorism in history classes too. It is sad that people always want to blame someone. Some people did something. Move on.

In Argentina a chinese guy disobeyed quarantine some someone went down to the chinese store and shot it up. Although what the president of the U.S. says matters and he should be far more careful with his language and rhetoric, lets not get carried away. The chinese store in argentina or ridiculous attacks in the states are going to happen regardless. Drawing a straight line from trumps fairly benign rhetoric in this instance to people being attacked is overblown imo. His responsibility isn't zero or a hundred but we're at the point where MSM is blaming trump for people dying from ingesting fish tank cleaner. Dial that back.... a lot

I’m not on the side of calling this the China virus, Wuhan virus, whatever else. I do think though that the Chinese government and Xi specifically must be made to pay dearly for this. They knew this was happening, they covered it up and punished anyone who tried to raise awareness. And now here we are with likely a few million dying around the world, Hungary deciding to go full authortarian, and sitting on the brink of a global depression

I have a friend who's on Team Trump. Like this dude waves a Trump flag from his house and from his truck type of Trump fan. His Facebook is filled with memes of Donald's face on Rambo's body and dicks photoshopped into Hillary's mouth

He has also been married to a girl who is half Chinese for the past 14 years. The way he has begun to speak about her in just last the past 4 months is insane. He keeps saying things like "**** that Chinese *****" and "I'm not touching her anymore" to "I have to wear face masks around my own wife!"

She was born and raised in the US and has never even been to China
