A significant percentage of American adults don't even know who the vice president is. 40% of Americans think that the world is 10,000 years old. A disturbing number of Americans don't even know that there are 50 states.
There is zero chance that a majority of Americans would get one of those questions right.
Thanks for your answer.
In the UK, you can only expect a majority of voters to know the name of the PM and the party in power (and by default the one not in -multiple parties but basically like the US a two-party system).
Famously, in 1999, a black woman was being annoyed by a man on the London Underground ("the tube"). She did her best to ignore him. It turned out he was Tony Blair, Prime Minister (1997-2007), and it was so embarrassing for him he had to invite her to 10 Downing Street for a photo op.
