We simply have no idea what's out there. And interstellar travel necessarily involves, due to the obvious limiting factors, a time lapse beyond any biological lifetime we can conceive. And if anything from out there did get here, it wouldn't just be the larger fauna in humanoid shape, as seen in dumb Hollywood films, it would be the micro-fauna too, and we wouldn't have any immune resistance to them. It's just as well that such contact is, as far as we know, and to all intents and purposes, physically impossible.
