As a wannabe professional debunker, it is my job to point out that, as I a wannabe professional debunker predicted, the actual contents of the report wouldn't change your position at all because you'd steadfastly refused to take any kind of position that could ever be shown wrong by it.

Which is why I, a wannabe professional debunker, suspect this thread is now asking such exciting questions as "Why now?" rather than acknowledging that nothing interesting has been revealed.

I'd make these predictions: we won't see any change in budget perhaps beyond the kind of increase in-line with usual budget changes, we won't see the government confirm the existence of extra-terrestrials, and we won't see the government confirm the existence of some new cutting-edge technology capable of doing the extraordinary things people claim are occurring in the video (performing manoeuvres that are deemed "impossible" for known aircrafts for example).

We could perhaps drill down a bit deeper into that, but those are all things that could, in principle, not come to pass in a way that it was obvious they were wrong.

Do you have any predictions of that type?
I 'member.

One does not need to be a professional debunker to predict that he will never change his position or believe he is wrong. I just found it was funny he went psy op on UFOs of all topics. Guess one never knows, but he did stick to his skill of predicting nothing specific, as that does allow one to never be wrong. I predict some type of stuff may happen and it will be differently handled in 2021 than it was in 1951. Impressive.

As a wannabe professional debunker I'm still most fascinated by the idea of declaring the present is different to the past while not wanting to compare the present to the past.

Is this thread the Luckbox prediction thread or the thread to talk about UFOs in the news?

Why would you say "of all topics" there btw? Wouldn't UFOs be the #1 psy-op topic possible just about?

I think psy ops is mostly spreading gossip to brown people about brown people in a different village and watching them fight.

As a wannabe professional debunker I would, and did, point out that having a position on what we would expect to see in the report is an important part of speculating for pages and pages about what it means.

If you are going to say you are right about something later on then it helps if you made that specific prediction beforehand. You never make any, so you cannot technically be wrong, but you also cannot be right.

Want to know all the scores from baseball yesterday? No problem, I can do that. The scores for games that have not played yet? How about if I say - games will be played and one team should win and the play will be different in some ways than other games that played.

Because UFOs are similar to Bigfoot and Flat Earth as a serious topic. It is goofy fringe even among the conspiracyderps, so who is the target market for these whatever psy ops. Was Bigfoot a psy op? How about the Loch Ness Monster that many monetized? Psy op?

I was surprised you jumped on the UFO bandwagon, because while you do go with some fringe stuff (rando murders somewhere) they usually are not about goofball topics. I suspect you have very strong views on some toxic stuff as well that is currently not allowed to be discussed on 2+2. Maybe the new owners will change that and if they do - perhaps its a psy op!

That as perplexing. The 'claim' followed by the 'I refuse to get dragged into the details', positioning.

Alex Jones got so mad at Trump Riggy Derps for this unforgiveable mistake. They were ruining the game with their 'specifics'.

I just think anyone prone to CT's learns relatively early on to stay away from specifics or they will get owned and exposed later. Their CT's can only survive if they keep them vague and claim free. Lots of elusions but stay away from actual positions or claims.

Lucky is really off base here: the existence of UFOs was of course acknowledged back in the Project Blue Book days.

The only shocking new revelation was that FLIR camera image of UFOs going wild which any clown can see is probably a sensor malfunction or some kind of software glitch. Also this was already leaked a month ago so the whole report was a massive nothingburger.

Monte,
This isn't a game about predicting the future.
Re UFOs.....Obviously it's a serious topic because it's a current event topic in media and it's something that the ruling class is pushing. That's why I take interest in it.

No. The existence of UFOs was not acknowledged in the blue book days. Not unless you're taking some ridiculously literal interpretation of what UFO means.

I’m using the same definition that they’ve used since the 1950’s. The government’s stance hasn’t changed.

They've broadened the definition from "Objects" to "Phenomena" to account for ghosts.

well sticking to the topic of this thread and the matter of "ufos".. if that is a psy-op, based on where the stories have been running i would say the audience is 60 minutes viewers, nyt and wapo readers, sagar engeti followers, etc

Wait... what?

What are you referring to?

Are you suggesting they said anything beyond there are "Unidentified Flying Objects' we observe?

Is it because they change the language to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) that makes you think is something more meaningful??

The "literal" interpretation of the words here is the only correct one and inference as far as I can see. But please enlighten me if you see something more?

If you are going to say "something is different" then it is on you to say specifically what it is and outline how that difference will manifest. Otherwise it is just you being vague and saying nothing. In case you forgot, most of the chat was people asking you to be specific about whatever it is you were suggesting you thought was happening. You never did.

You do this routine a lot as well to imply your position is more correct, which is just a variation of when you do the "we agree that" thing when nobody has agreed with you. Feel free to contact the Mellon and get him to post that he agrees with you instead of you assigning agreement to others.

Again, your conspiracyderp technique is well practiced at this point, so you do not fall into the traps like some of the dummies do, like the Qderp guy who posted here a while with specific predictions, but it is still a routine in the end.

I assume he is a conspiracyderp of some type like you. Congrats. Some of them get into some positions within government, just look at some of the special people in congress now. So what, they are still conspiracyderps in the end. Trump was the President and he is an utter idiot.

Your techniques are just techniques that you do out of muscle memory at this point. You are similar to the people who have lived doing multi level marketing for years and years - they just have a certain way they speak after a while and they cannot prevent it. It shows. Your routines show, though again you are better than many within your crowd, but then a ton of conspiracyderps are really really dumb. The really smart ones can be an interesting case study, as they usually have some mental medical issue as well, but you can see their raw intelligence clouded by the conspiracy paranoia. You are not in that category nor in the dummy category. You are effectively a mid level manager that is very comfortable in his role and knows how to play it, so the wannabe debunkers will not get far with you.

We've reached the: "those in power in government are conspiracy derps" part of the discussion.

Nah, a small percentage of people in government positions will be conspiracyderps, because a small percentage of humans are that. A small percentage of people working at bowling alleys will be conspiracyderps. That does not mean we reached the "those in bowling alleys are conspiracyderp" part of the discussion.

Hey, I appreciate you using your redirect routine, but we have seen this many, many times before. As I said, and I see you did not dispute it, you are effectively a mid level manager who is experienced at this. Is what it is - does not mean you do your job poorly.
