I think eventually some sort of stasis would argue though where eventually the US would become a country that people no longer wanted to come to.
I have a moral problem with the idea of open borders.
I know people who move between countries are looking for a better life, but the peoples' country they are moving into is likely nicer their own country because the citizen of that country paid a lot of money/time/energy to build infrastructure, an economy and a society that is a nice place to live. So of course others want to come and live in another country that other people invested in and they want some of the return on that investment.
A better way to do it is minimize illegal immigration and make part of legally immigration based off of what someone can bring to this country that will make it better.
