I realize I forgot to state the final answer to this thread. I don't want an automated bot posting Trump tweets on the forum. If people want to relay them personally, they of course can.

I'll not hide the fact that I think his tweets are some of the dumbest and most annoying crap possible to dig up on the interwebs plays a big part in my decision, and the more time that passes between each time I see one the better. As a moderator I read every post on this forum, and I honestly can't see myself lasting long in that role if I had to read every tweet of his.

(I speak for myself here, as EADGBE outsourced this decision to me. I don't speak for him on this).

I don't really have the patience (nor the time really) to wade through the pages of slugfests that would emanate from them being automatically posted either.

Not sure how anyone can be allowed to defend / support Trump in discussions here without evidence of them regularly digesting a significant portion of his official statements.

If the Trumpbot is not allowed Trump supporters who are ignorant of what Trump says and does should be banned from posting in the Trump thread. Not being 100% ignorant to discuss a person in a thread specifically about them is not a big ask.

The 'pretense' that banning an automated bot is the same as banning trump or banning quoting him is quite staggeringly impressive.
