You do have to tailor the message to your base.

The Dem centrist base typically does not like the attack ad's they would prefer their politicians talk about platform and future (what are you going to do for us) and many do believe in the 'when you go low, we go high' motto because of that.

That is changing however with Progressives coming in who do relish the fight.

The Lincoln Project is not directing these ad's at that centre Dem block. These ads are at the Republican centre/right base and Independents.

The Republican centre/right base has been fed a strict diet of almost exclusively this type of attack ad in increases doses for decades now, so much so that really the 'fight' is all that matters and not the policy (or lack thereof) behind it. Winning the fight (against the 'other') is the end game. Policy is a distance 10th place behind that.

The Dems are very lucky to have the Lincoln Project be the bag man here so they can still distance themselves (go high) from this.
Cuepee a GOAT politics poster imo

That simple fact alone should garner 100% of all the votes.

Everyone who voted for trump should be required to have their face permanently dyed orange, so that they are easily identified and dismissed in person.

That is a skin color bigotry I can fully support.

The American Empire is doing fine. The response to COVID will not be a long term detriment to American excellence. The economy will bounce back.

And, despite what the Trumpers say, Biden will not destroy the American Empire. The economy will be fine. Things will move on. His tax plan might cause a .75% reduction in GDP. Things will not be destroyed.

I am a little nervous about Biden's foreign policy. Despite Trump's bravado he has not got us engulfed in some stupid conflict where our troops are at constant risk. We go in places, we never come out. We want to pull troops from Germany (that war ended in 1945!) and everyone goes crazy. Hopefully, Biden won't be in the business of nation building, but I am a little nervous on that one.
Yeah our troops are super safe right now!

As of 1st february ( no covid yet economically)

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjo.../#41a28e484819

"When you compare the last three years of Obama’s Presidency vs. Trump’s first three years, Trump’s deficits will be almost $1 trillion greater at $2.47 trillion to $1.51 trillion for Obama. It doesn’t look like Trump’s tax cuts will pay for themselves."

And like countless other stupid thing economically like Trump thinking negative interest rates is a good idea and were not even talking about social issues....

In a functioning democracy this would be a huge scandal. As it stands, just another day in the Trump Administration.

I know 5th Avenue is an iconic NY street but the Mayor should still rename it for 4 months (just threw the election) to Black Lives Matter Avenue.

Getting fired by Trump/Barr will be a badge of honour and a benefit to the resume.

I mean look at the list and it shows if you are top independent thinker you will get fired, and if you are sycophantic weak person you will stay.

based on recent polling according to the aggregate 538 Trump's approval is at a 17 month low. where Suddenly Alaska, Texas, Georgia, Iowa Missouri and Montana are not completely safe. I'm guessing 90 percent of the people remaining in this government will be gone 6 months from now. Biden will be doing serious house cleaning.

On one hand, obviously there's a lesson from 2016 about overconfidence.

But on the other, jesus, that list of states is brutal. 2016's overconfidence was, like, "maybe we flip Arizona". These states = holy ****.
