missing the entire point of my last ten posts but fwiw no they are not opposites, and it seems disingenuous at best to me that no one got the context of "managing relationships" in that sentence, so much so that I had to discontinue talking to him. There are many different types of relationships, casual sex partners/ lovers being one of them. In some ways all sexual relationships are permanent and women manage those sexual relationships much differently than men do.
His responses, completely devoid of any acknowledgment of what I said in my posts beyond a flippant "yes context is important but..."or consideration for my perspective is almost as offputting as a guy randomly coming up to a woman who is a complete stranger and asking her if she wants to have sex. That doesn't mean I didn't want to talk about it, just that makes it harder for me to do so.

Though I guess from his perspective chill rob just has a bigger conversational drive than me.

A lot of research in areas like this ( in particular there is very little good research in regards to transgender preferences) comes from strong confirmation bias. I'm curious to see if the actual findings of this study have relate to your claim but it's behind a paywall I think.

In general I think sex drive is more uniform in most men compared to women, and more easy to discern. It's hard for most guys to tell the difference between women with a very high sex drive and women almost completely disinterested in sex.

I think the remarkable thing is actually how similar sex drive is between men and women.

No one is missing your points, we just all disagree with you.

You certainly can have your own opinion, and you have a unique perspective, but based on your very unusual sexual and medical history it seems like you could realize that most people are not going to think the same way as you about these issues, and you may have a tough time understanding typical male sexual desires.

I doesn't matter what you think - that's why we do science. This meta-analysis found men have a greater sex drive than women, the effect size was large and the sample size was over 600k participants across a variety of cultures.

It's about as robust a finding as you will get in the social science, and one literally anyone could tell you by casual observation without bothering to ask 600,000 people what they think.

And yet the researchers had no trouble finding women who were prepared to chat up totally strange men and make overt sexual offers to them. Which ought to tell you something. (I wouldn't be prepared to take part in any such study that required me to chat up strange women.) The reason the women didn't agree to any of the men's approaches was, obviously, that they could sense falsehood in the approach and therefore sensed danger, or possibly just a time-waster. The methodology there was a joke.

Left to themselves, some women will engage in any number of hook-ups. Women do not have a lower sex drive than men, they just have more to fear from sex, because they're the ones who get pregnant and most men are bigger and stronger than they are, so they play it differently and often play up to the 'feminine' stereotype by pretending to be 'demure' and 'choosy'.

Well, one thing I would say is that my sex drive right now is higher than it's ever been(36) by far, and I can't imagine having a higher sex drive , that would be just silly.

But on a conceptual basis , if we were to consider sex drive to mean wanting to have sex with 1000's of people in a park rather than a half dozen men who are amazing lovers, then I would concede that straight guy conception is a higher sex drive. If sex drive involves openly bragging about banging people and criticizing others and talking about wanting to bang people you don't know then I concede a straight guy has a "higher sex drive"

But maybe those fantasies just come from a place that is actually more delusional and less interested in sex than someone like me, and doesn't indicate a higher sex drive.

This is an actual crosspost and I appreciate it.

Finding women to "chat up strange men" is way different than "finding women to have sex with strange men".

"Women do not have a lower sex drive than men" lol.

I remember madeliefje and gikdwulf and kristy were having a conversation on skype.
Madeliefje and kristy were amongst the most feminine to ever post on two plus two. Both one of the less than 1% more feminine than me on 2+2

And madeliefje said that she never masturbates.
And gikdwulf said tell her, wtf
And kristy said I greatly resent you not assuming I don't agree with made.

What does it prove that they could find women to participate in a psychological study, either for pay or because they were psych students who wanted to increase knowledge in the field? The fact that you wouldn't do it means nothing.

Do you think that women are that much better at "sensing falsehood" than men are?

And I never said women have a lower sex drive in men, I said they are less likely to seek casual or a anonymous sex, partially because of the reasons you mention.

I guess you guys are getting this from something someone else posted, but I never claimed that men have a higher sex drive than women, so this entire post makes no sense as a reply to me.

I said they want to have more partners, which you actually confirm in this post (in bold) !
