If they ever get back to the original issue, they will bump into the fact that with the small number of people doing that important job, there is no reason not to give it to everybody. If the test will disqualify some elderly, then it is likely that it will disqualify some younger people as well. The young dumb ones aren't going to take that chance.

I am guessing your posting this as Nikki Haley suggested we should be doing this for folks like Biden or Trump?

I would suggest a presidential campaign with debates will determine competency

At least Nikki Haley will not require this test as she is past her prime

Yeah for a first week it's been brutal. Though I admire the fact she is running and Don Lemon stuck his foot in his mouth

Even if she was running a great campaign she isn't ever going to win the Republican nomination, for a lot of different reasons. Which of course makes one wonder why she is running at all. Probably some combination of raising her profile and fundraising.
