I take your point. Ousting Trump wouldn't have directly resulted in Democrat control so saying "overturned" is not accurate.

However, when a movement, like the Trump movement, is so tied to one personality you can definitely strike a big blow by removing the leader from office. Pence was much more in line with the bipartisan consensus on major life/death issues. In the end so was Trump, but those opposed to Trump couldn't count on that and, to the extent he was in line, he put a bad face on the bad policies of neoliberalism which is the real reason they hated him so much.

Which is why Russiagate is a fake conspiracy theory on par with Trump's false conspiracy claims. They both dissolve when you look at the evidence, the major difference being with Russiagate we have summaries and conclusions made by intelligence agencies which are totally divorced from an supporting evidence, evidence which is assumed to be there but it just isn't- at all. I suppose one could make the claim that Trump actually started this round of lying about elections with his claims around the 2016 results, though I don't think that justifies partaking in kind.

Ya except the opposite is true about the Russiagate investigation.

It found significant amounts of very important factual findings and got numerous indictments and verdicts for very real issues and crimes that the US still is dealing with.

When the Intelligence agencies look at Russiagate it just reminds them they need to be even more vigilant and learn and do more to stop that type of interference.

fwiw, a lot of americans probably think red or blue, it would not change a damn thing for them since the US as become an oligarchy political system where money control every aspect of politics.

But the problem with trump was just terrible as a president, no need to enumerated why...

Lets say i give you the point of russiagate
( disregarding strangely that some of trump associates got condemn in some connection with it
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKBN25G1YU),
still there is lot of conspiracy theory that trump push forward (rigged elections , capitol attack, Ukraine, etc....)

at one point is there any responsibility needed to take place ?

ps: when 1 man had so much power like trump and being able to lie nonstop , i do not think it is really good for a democracy...
hell even big name in the republican side got ejected and suffered death threats when not agreeing with trumps...
nice democracy...
the funniest thing in all of this is :
republicans hates government since they think they always lies and what they do ? elected the biggest liar there is....and they believe him just because he can pawn some libs on twitter.

They aren't shallow parallels. It's tough for me to think of a communication pattern of "ok that was a false read but oh boy just you wait because this next development is going to turn the tide" which isn't emanating from a lie. QAnon communications followed this same pattern as well.

You are QAnon and, just like them, you refuse to see it. QAnon had/has the same pattern. In fact it seems like this is the thing with any cult as well. The only wrinkle here is there is some obligation to literal truth in Russiagate while the actual message is allowed to bend to order. I say some because there was also outright evidence tampering in Russiagate, doctoring emails and withholding exculpatory information in several instances.

So they tell you there is no evidence proving the troll farms were acting on behalf of the Russian government. They show you the ads are largely apolitical and, if not, utterly nonsensical. They tell you most the ads were bought after the election. They tell you the total amount of ads in question were bought for like 5k. Then they tell you this is a disinformation campaign conducted by the Russian government and you go with it because you obey authority instead of using your naturally endowed faculties to see the plain truth, that these were clickbait operations having nothing to do with any Russian attempt to "subvert our democracy".

I can't remember who, but one journalist dubbed you "BlueAnon" for this tendency.

Do you ever stop to think how you'd react if you were faced with your own prose, but you didn't know that you'd written it?

With respect to Russia and the 2016 election, has anyone in this thread actually engaged in the communication pattern that you describe?

At the time, I thought there was a basis for an investigation. I still believe there was a basis. At the time, I thought the Russian government attempted to influence the election. I still believe that to be true. (As an aside, most people of your political persuasion take it as self-evident that the U.S. has attempted to influence foreign elections. I'm not sure why it's so hard to believe that Russia has attempted to influence foreign elections.)

But that's pretty much as far as I went. I wasn't constantly moving the date back for the big reveal. I wasn't promoting every dumb rumor or theory as the next big thing. I wasn't predicting that smoking gun evidence of collusion would emerge. I wasn't going on about pee tapes. I wasn't buying "In Mueller We Trust" T-shirts. I wasn't spamming the forum with links to tweets from idiots like Louise Mensch. In short, I wasn't doing the sorts of things that bingobazza and friends are doing. And I don't remember Cuepee, d2, escriture, td, Monteroy, etc., doing those things either.

This might be quite fun. He's been a member here for 10 years. Next time I'm bored, I might just start looking for **** he posted >5 years ago, change a few words, and copy paste it in response to the **** he is posting today.

Or, probably not, because I am way too lazy to do that. But it's enough to get some paranoia going, eh, Deuces? Especially now that I've given everyone else that idea.

On that note, I was thinking of a Trump-derpy thing earlier -

Trump: The world is laughing at us
Derps: Let's elect Trump, we don't want to the world to laugh at us
World: We weren't laughing at you before, but we are now that you've elected Trump
Derps: We don't give a **** what you think

You need to read up.

I don't know who "they" are, but I do know that everything regarding politics I see on Russian state owned channels (unfortunately a too big part of my cable due to my location), I will soon without a fail see coming from american conservatives keyboards online word for word. I'm just left wondering that if a republican knew how to speak russian and watched this propaganda machine for a day, would he be able to second guess his values after seeing everything align, or would he go deeper into the rabbithole?

How much research did you do looking into whether Q was really jfk jr who faked his own death to team up with trump? Be honest

Also, LOL at "journalist." As best I can tell, use of the term BlueAnon is mostly associated with Marjorie Taylor Greene and Candace Owens. It's pretty rich for MJT to criticize anyone for anything related to promoting conspiracies.

I am mostly skeptical of tropes that describe the the political poles as opposite sides of the same coin. But in the U.S., it is certainly true that anti-establishment types of all stripes believe anything they read in RT.

BUT WHATABOUT THE ELECTION FRAUD CASES!

So curious why this Russian money always seems to prefer Trump. Hmmm.

And imagine. This guy was going thru the courts and sentencing for his prior crimes. He just could not wait, even while in the courts for one set of crimes to be sentenced, to kick off the next set of crimes. Almost as if he knew that second set of crimes might ingratiate himself to Trump. And for some reason Trump found it in him to pardon him. Hmmmm?? Seems Trump appreciated this guy for some reason.

You are talking to people who spend 5 minutes reading the Wikipedia page on Russian interference in 2016, basically say “yeah, that makes sense” and move on with their lives. You’re the one that’s doing your OwN rEsEarCH and want to ignore sources just because they contradict your view. That’s basic trutherism. The rest of us would have no problem accepting more or less severe interference if that ended up being the conclusion of the Trump/Biden DOJ.
