What happens after that is somewhat up in the air, I believe. If you need moderator assistance in the immediate future then R*R can assist you. My hope is that new moderators will also come on board. Coincidentally, I've recently asked a couple of people if they were interested. I didn't know that I would be writing this post when I PM'd them, but I hope they will accept anyway, and not feel like I tricked them. I wasn't trying to be sneaky! The timing is accidental. Others who may be interested should talk to Mat Sklansky or at least express their interest here (looking at you, rococo).

As for me, well, I just need a break from politics, and to focus on some real life stuff that's more important. My hope is that this forum will go on and even be better with more and different mods. If it does, I'm sure I'll be around some in the future as a poster.

Apologies in advance to R*R, any new mods, and anyone else that deserves one.

Good luck.
.

WN never said that.

Your post needs a smiley.

I'm not ignoring this btw, I just haven't had any time. I figured at some point (maybe this weekend) I would read the article you linked in the citations needed thread and maybe muse on some of it there, since that's already my blag.

Anyway, grunching: my wife was having a pretty long (for her) messenger conversation with an old friend from her grad school cohort earlier, while I was making dinner. Then when we were eating she finally says: "Woke sociology facebook is a nightmare." I was entertained.

If this is the reward, I'd hate to see the punishment.

Sklansky Bucks.

Now that Epstein is not organizing the parties anymore.... the fun is fading.

Probably true, but I also feel it has brought out some of the best of 2p2. Admittedly this is much more true of the previous iteration as a good number of the best posters were driven off by 2+2's terrible handling of that situation, but it nevertheless remains possible to have discussions with fairly high information people about politics in a way most people don't get from their own social groups or the more unilateral news/podcasts/etc.
