If she is just a regular "Karen" without any family connections who got there by merit she is probably just screwed now. If she is where she is because of nepotism, after things settle down she will quietly be given back a job.

I want to add a bit of insight to our more ignorant members. Nobody who is NOT racist would have said “and tell them an African American man is threatening my life.” She might as well said the n word twenty times in a row.

It is really amazing that all these non racists will literally defend anything from claims of racism.

its clearly hitting a minority person with a stick while shouting derogatory terms specific to said minority. not just any derogatory terms about minorities, it has to be specifically about the minority person you are currently beating with a stick.

Yeah imagine a guy who regularly goes to the park where wackos don’t keep their dog leashed carrying dog treats! The horror! And offering a treat to the dog! Oh my god. Definitely should be lynched.

I guess if she just kept her dog on a leash and wasn’t racist this would have played out differently, but obviously it is the guy with dog treats who is the real threat.

I agree that is one side of it. But the non racist racists have also enlightened us that calling a white lady “Karen” is racist. This racism thing is more complicated than the English language. Different rules based on the race of the person being attacked and so on.

Calling a group of black women “nappy headed hos”, not racist.
Calling a group of white women “a bunch of karens” racist.

I am going to try and keep learning all the rules and differences.

Yeah, I can see how that would make a difference if I wanted to excuse someone's racist, manipulative behavior.

I went to a fight once and everyone broke out in bird watching.

I am using an example from a past controversy. Were it To be brought up today, I am 100% confident the bad actors here would rush to twist it as not being racist.

It is simply an example of a real life controversy where racists argued it was not racist at the time. The same way racists here and now argue nothing is racist except calling white women “Karen’s”.

I would like to provide some understanding to those here who don’t have experience with not being a racist. I offer this up because some people likely believe if you have a racist thought but refrain from verbalizing or acting on it that you are not racist. This is certainly not true.

I have never seen a black guy and thought to myself “That African American man is threatening me!” I have never seen a white woman and thought “What a Karen!”, unless her name was actually Karen. Not only do I not verbalize those things, they don’t even come up in my thought process. Hope this helps some of you understand how some people can spot racism pretty easily.

I know when someone is accused of being racist for saying the things you think to yourself, out loud, it gets scary and hits too close to home. That is okay. You should be worried if you are thinking thoughts like that. You should work to try and change that thought process and become a better person. Unfortunately most people just try to defend the accusation of racism, so their racist thoughts can Rest In Peace.

How do you know she wasn't afraid of him? Some random dude in a park continues filming her after she asks him to stop. That's intimidating/threatening behavior in my book.

He could easily have stopped filming and backed off. She more than likely would have calmed down.
