"Limiting Immigration" as a sort of context-less policy isn't racist in the same way many of Trump's immigration policies are not a priori racist, or just like any number of policies supported by far right european nationalists are not a priori racist. However, they don't exist in vacuums. His party attempted (and thankfully failed) to capitalize on nationalist right-wing anti-immigrant populist rhetoric as a single party issue when he couldn't take losing to Scheer. You were pretty good at calling out quebec's racist when they banned religious symbols and dumped support for the leader who wore a turban, and you were right. But you don't think that 1% far right fringe that voted PPC had a distinctly racist current to it too?

And always remember: that's the guy conservatives almost voted to be their leader. Good riddance! But at least he isn't as much of a homophobe, so I suppose there is that.
