This one got to me

What kind of leader can you be to slip that “common sense conservatives” campaign slogan into your ****ing condolence message?

Don’t get me wrong, the rest of his timeline today is a slew of hatred and attacks - it’s horrifying that this is who will be PM - but I’d thought maybe he’d have the decency to leave his autopilot sloganeering behind for one tweet.

Yeah I agree with you on this . Do as i do and just stay off Twitter or don't follow him

While staying off Twitter is indeed always good life advise, just ignoring Poilievre when he is set to become PM doesn’t quite cut it. It’s worth knowing the moral character of this man and nothing reveals the pattern of endless strings of lies and baseless insults and morally bankrupt sloganeering than his Twitter feed does. I think a lot of Canadians have a much rosier view in part because they haven’t paid attention to the ******* that he really is.

Yet you have no issue supporting someone who sexually assaulted a reporter and interfered in a criminal investigation and lied about it till he got caught with voice recordings. I’d say I know who is morally bankrupt

Without commenting on your......characterizations.....I think we should be able to talk about the weaknesses and failings of Poilievre, the projected future PM, without it become a whataboutism on Trudeau every.single.****ing.time.

Don't you?

If polievre comes in and does a thing that makes Canada the highest production in anything ( regardless of which ressources like nat gaz ) , you will agree polievre did a bad job and his against those ressources too right ?

Great logic.
Can’t wait to use it against you when polievre wins .
I predict it’s all garbage what he will do because you know , being first or last, it doesn’t mean anything !
Polievre just bad regardless what any data you will bring .

Not true I have never compared Biden to Trump I’ve compared Trump to Trudeau

It’s time for a change and Pierre is that change and I’m not going to get upset about a tweet

As for Trump he won the electoral college and the popular vote which I guess Pierre will also do

I have actually said that Biden got a lot done though I may not agree with his policies . I’m excited to see how Trump does and how the democrats maybe look in the mirror

Under the USA system Trudeau would have been impeached for SNC

Lol. Impeachment is a political vote, just like acquittal is. Guess what, in Canada we have political votes for keeping or rejecting the current government every time there is a confidence motion - far more often than the US. So no, given that Trudeau didn’t have even the smallest wiff of political trouble doesn’t mean he would have if the political system was different.

I’ve seen a lot of rumblings about housing accelerator fund. Context is that poilievre plans to slash billions from housing investments to pay for his gst cut. Basically he is trying to suggest that general stimulus in housing is better than targeted. Maybe so maybe not. But a lot of communities - including ones from conservatives - are getting building done because of the funds poilievre wants to slash, and it’s causing internal problems because conservative MPs would love to champion their work getting new buildings done in their community, but of course poilievre is naming and muzzling them. It’s a good example of how the party line always come first for him. https://x.com/davidabeaudoin/status/...96Ytk2nEU_KokQ

7 days

The postal service is on its way to bankruptcy. We just don’t need daily service

Canada is in for a large helping of hurt when Trump gets in with Trudeau at the helm

I can see Trump tying tariffs to our NATO contributions which I don't blame him

Given that all the news was already released before Trump won - and we literally argued about it and quoted the numbers ITT - then yes. If you just mean would he release a nice video explaining it that decimates most of the stupid talking points brought up by the right? Well probably yes then too.

Great job regardless.

uke you could also admit that if the USA are going to deport huge amounts of people, there could be some additional pressure on the Canadian border by illegals in the USA trying to enter, and it's reasonable for Canada to prepare for that and refuse to take them in

Prophylactic measure. Canada doesn't have the capacity to handle 50 million American refugees desperately fleeing their shithole country.

Lol nice try. If Harris wins there is noway he releases that video. Maybe there was some hedging with news articles being released, but for Trudeau to sit in front of a camera and admit they made mistakes on immigration is something.

lol buddy they literally released every single number of the new immigration plan weeks ago (that are great). You obviously didn’t remember that. If you’re hopping mad that he made a promo video (that was great) about the previously announced plan well that’s on you.

I was watching CTV s Vassy on this and the panel thought they released the video because their internal polls said it just didn’t hit with the voters and they wanted credit for doing it . I will give Trudeau credit for admitting they didn’t act quick enough . I can’t remember him ever admitting he has made a mistake

That seems quite right - and the video clearly has accomplished a much higher reach. Trudeau's team is actually doing the right thing here where they respond differently to changing economic times (everyone clamouring for more workers in 2021, needing to turn down the taps in 2024) and that even if they overshot on those pressures the directionality of the policy is largely correct. But that is a nuanced message and this format does seem effective at conveying it.

Good Ole Justin cant even get rid of Randy Boissonault . Though Justin had no troubles calling for a conservative that spent $16 on a glass of orange juice or firing a minister that told the truth
