I am just making the assumption you will be able to afford it but it will be a hit to the budget.

Take a $500,000 Mortgage that was at 3% payments $2371

Same mortgage today at 6.49% is $3373

My house is up for sale but yikes mine is due in March 2023 as well

Agree

But this is a problem that dated for over 20 years in Quebec for example .

As much as I agree a bit on that part. Covid has taught us in the medical industry we can do more via Zoom and Facetime such as prescription refills . As well pharmacists and nurses can do more as well .
Though the biggest strain on our medical system I would say and I am no expert would be Opiod Crisis, Obesity and spending to many$$ on the last few years of someones life.

Doctors love monopoly on healthcare .
Been a fight for a very long time here but doctors just keep being elected as health minister ….
Changes takes time , happens usually when people
Realize doctors have some bias too when it comes to wages .

Remember the days when all the liberals held up signs #standwithukraine

It should have read # standwithukraineunlessgernamybegsusnotto

This was a tough decision by the feds and based on JT's track record probably the wrong one

Well little over a week and the leader of the largest pedophile network in the world is coming to Edmonton on his apology tour.

Damn they are locking this town down. Closing highways and some neighborhoods. 6 blocks from me they have a Pedophile training centre and they are erecting 12 ft fencing around it as the Pope will be visiting there. The camera and security systems yikes.
Of course who is paying for this apology the taxpayers

My water is just fine .which water u speak off ?

Funding for mental health but u want less taxes right ?

I mean when I look around and see what’s going in the world I’m pretty good on where we stand .
Now could any government be better ? Sure !
But u speak like trudeau is bringing Canada into a third world country and called him a dictator …..

Look at turkey just for fun and how mess up the majority of Europe are and the US becoming a theocracy….

My good man , I’m far from wanting to leave Canada at this present time .
So trudeau couldn’t be that bad .

More evidence the government is contributing to this problem and now random testing is back

Weather its Passports, Revenue Canada it seems like every department is understaffed or just incompetent .

Explain this to me lozen .
U keep hating trudeau and blaming him about everything economically and his the worst ever right ?

While alberta , Ontario and Quebec are all doing lower deficit this year ?
Usually terrible economy should create higher deficit no ?

One weird quirk of high inflation (when coupled with high wage inflation) is that government union jobs are a little stickier and seem to have lower wage growth than the market in general. Like a major union might be in big fights to try to get a couple percent cost of living adjustment when inflation is way higher and growth in taxable wages way higher in the broader economy. This helps deficits in a weird way as a result.

No I do not blame him fully for our lagging economy mainly inflation. Though he is partially responsible.

Like I have said multiple times there was way to much Covid relief to many individuals and sectors that never needed it. Of course they took it as its free money.
As well the sanctions on Russia backfired on the west. It created the high oil prices which is why Alberta is in the black.

Please I know I harp on Teflon Trudeau non stop but tell me what good he has done in power in the last 4 years. As well please do not brag about programs announced that are not started or in place. As well do not even think of bringing up his action on climate change. Trump lowered emissions in the USA while Justin has yet to.

Though they have those nice pensions which many in the private sector do not.

True but they can put less in rrsp due to their pension funds and pay higher taxes on income vs autonomous workers
In the end it all even outs .

And for those that have no pension funds blame the corporation that change their business models ?

I find it funny today many employers complain they lack workers and they aren’t loyal , ready to change jobs as soon they have better elsewhere In 2022 lol .

Meanwhile for the last 20 years I heard ( from the anti union) hey if your not happy at your jobs just go change it….
it’s exactly what employees are doing now .
That’s what happen when u have no invitation to keep good loyal employees and just focus on profits .

Pension funds is one of the best tool to keep an employee loyal ….even with lower wages .

No it means that we can expect teachers to strike within a year or two.

Best tool to keep an employee loyal is deferred stock plans - I'm 10 years into a job I find unfulfilling, but every year so much vests...
