I wonder what science changed in the 12 hour period between the Canadian governments flip flopping on the trucker mandates. Lol at thinking any of these policies/restrictions are based on science.

Weird that sometimes policies (even in areas that involve some science) are done primarily for political reasons. Quite the shocking discovery you made - politicians will often do things for political reasons. Seriously, alert the media. I mean - why do you think Trump lied about Covid so much early on?

That does not change the fact that people like you, with your special posting history, are about as anti-science as it gets. You deny all sorts of actual science all the time, hence it is chuckle worthy when you pretend to care about science. At least be a genuine derp like those who openly say they will never trust a scientist. You can find some posters who did that in the Covid thread in the BFI forum, where they openly stated that actual scientists never knew what they were talking about, but various radio hosts and such (that told them what they wanted to hear) were indeed credible sources, especially if they were also "scientists" like one who specialized in healing crystals. Also, be sure to continue to passively consume that alt-right media, as they are taking time to monetize you, so best that you know your passive role in that industry. You can demonstrate that by posting some more of that alt-right Twitter stuff you consume in great quantity.

All the best.

The LOL pinnacle is an old man who spent years campaigning against GMO's (even made a music video about it) which have saved millions of lives. Then say he can't share a platform with one of the most popular people on the internet because of unscientific views.

That's quite the word salad, even got to mention Trump! So what science that Trudeau mentioned in the clip changed in the 12 hours the Canadian government flip flopped on the trucking mandate?

You do not think Media as a whole does this weather left or right. Just look at Joe Rogan on Covid the media was outraged by his comments yet the same media had no issue with a supreme court judge spewing Covid falsehoods

Science evolves but when you blatantly ignore it for political or financial reasons than tell people we must follow the science Im sorry you will lose a few folks along the way.

As well Maxime gained almost 5% last election. You may disagree with him but he outperformed the Green Party

I do notice you are trolling less which is nice to see. Stay safe

This is a fair point. Bernier is much better at playing for the attention economy game. He is much better at earned media. That might even have made him win. But then you'd have a fringe nutjob with a twitter timeline like Bernier's in power, and that is a terrifying thing.

We have all seen your silly left/right equivalency routine nearly as much as your posts where you go nuts about Trudeau. You can cite the "weather" as you say as much as you like, but that is a front on your part to cloud up the issues.

Seems the folks that are "lost" were ones that were never part of the equation in most of these instances. At least that other derp does not pretend to be anything but an extreme alt-right passive consumer, so he does not even pretend to be "lost" to some messaging from a politician he cannot stand as he re-posts "gotcha" stuff in his mind from the media he voraciously consumes. You still try to do that "they lost me" routine for some reason, when you were never in a position be become lost.

Nobody is disputing that 5-10% of the population are fringe morons that will vote for anything that appeals to their base needs in that regard. USA has a bigger portion of that demographic, and we saw the results of that.

I am following the science, so I am not too worried about it. Those like that other person, who is most likely unvaccinated, or older males like yourself that are doing your own research on boosters are the ones that need to put a lot more effort in "staying safe" from a math perspective, though by now you know that what you and others choose in that regard is of zero concern to me - do what you like, and have your affairs in order, which all 40+ males (basically every poster on this forum) should do anyways.

You could be right they that they are not part of the equation. It baffles me that folks do not get vaccinated. I saw the person in the states that can not get a heart transplant because he will not get the vaccine. His wife was talking about how they are worried the vaccine could kill him. Folks like that you just shake your head at

Sadly ill trust my physician over you on a booster shot and wait till Pfizer releases the Omicron booster and get that. I am not sure how following an infectious disease specialist does not make sense.

Apologies on spelling weather wrong. I blame Trudeau for that

Weird that you imply that I am the one telling you to do anything. I simply said I trust the actual experts. I did not claim to be a medical expert. I do not care in the slightest what you choose to do or what your country doctor says. Believe whomever you like for whatever reason.

Actually I was referring to the 5% or so of Canadians that voted for the derp you worship and cherish in reply to this post which was directly before my reply.

I then separately added that in the USA that there are a lot more derps, and as well it is quite a bit more divisive between essentially two groups, with one group catering to the fringy derps to help increase their ranks. Not all Republicans are derps, but nearly every derp is alt-right. I realize that you will likely not understand this, so just keep consuming and posting derpy Twitter feeds you consume. Know your limitations.

I notice a large uptick in anti-mask and anti-vaxpass comments directed at my serving staff this week. Which they really need after almost two years. So thanks to the trucker convoy for that.

While they're in Ottawa maybe they could take a spare minute and go f*ck themselves, I'd appreciate it.

Sorry to hear that. It definitely seems this convoy has been the rallying cry that demographic has needed - they've not really had one unifying force/event before now. Hopefully we'll be at a point soon where mandates will be easing, and the issue will melt away like the snow.

Do you think it might have to with folks are just getting sick & tired of Covid as well as cloth masks providing minimal protection?

I can only imagine the traffic issues on these routes as well.

I think Truckers have more support than we think with all the empty store shelves. Just look at the money raised for them

I was in my grocery store yesterday. It looked as normal as ever when it came to shelves. If anything, the reason why there are delivery issues right now it's because so many drivers etc. are out with covid or isolating because of possible cases that everyone is short staffed. And people like these antivax truckers are exactly who we have to thank for that.

Traffic issues are an interesting point since here in this province I thought they had passed a law banning protests that affected roadways or railways. But I guess that doesn't apply if they're largely white people.

And yeah, we're all tired of covid. But this 'protest' isn't about that, it's just a bunch more antivax bullshit. I hope once they arrive in Ontario they stay there.

Hard to come up with more quintessential example of Canadian's utter priviledge compared to the world that people can walk into a store with tens of thousands of varied food items, effectively anything you could possibly want, and then rage post on twitter than bananas are going to be delayed two days because a trucker coming up from the states got covid.

Yeah, they were in good shape before yesterday's games, and now it's even better. Big game against the US on Sunday. They're in a position now where that's far from a must win or draw, but some kind of good result would put them in the driver's seat.

Odds have Canada US and Mexico all over 99% to qualify.

The funny thing is that people in Ottawa won't care if their city is clogged. Everyone public service or DND will just be like "hey sorry not coming to work, truckers" "okay see you next Monday". Fin.

I'm fully supportive of truckers and the trucking industry, but lol at this freedom garbage and Confederate flags.
