The types of disagreements we have in politics are interesting. Sometimes the criticisms of the other side are sort of exaggerated or recast in a worse light than they really are. That is, there is a lot of smoke and mirrors to make a clear partisan divide appear despite very little political difference. We see this in Canada a lot with all the parties agreeing on doing something about early childhood education, for instance, with the disagreements more technocratic ones about the based way to do that. But at other times, the disagreements are seemingly irrevocably far apart.

That video is completely correct. It is a climate emergency. It isn't fear-mongering to say that, we should actually genuinely be called to action about it. We can't go back to the Harper years of a lost decade of climate inaction. This would be an utter abdication of responsibility.
