Lets be honest

I think Trudeau is as Erin O'Toole described him and a entitled individual that really only cares about himself first and you think he is a very good Prime Minister

You will not change my opinion and I will never change yours.

If Trudeau read this thread he would be satisfied as a general rule of thumb is pick the side that people like Lozen and Shifty are on and find a way to wager against it. Shame that there is no real opportunity in that regard like there was in 2020.

I would guess majority of Petersons viewers are conservative. He's arguably one of the most influential Canadians of the past 3-4 years, probably not the best idea to not reach that fan base especially after Bernier does. But I guess we'll see what happens Monday.

This routine is old man. Did you bet Biden would get the most votes ever? How much money did you win on the 2016 election? I won some, people on this form won and lost fortunes in 2016. It's a poker website, nobody cares about a bet you won 10 months ago.

You always talk about these wrong predictions. First Off Shifty and I are not always on the same spectrum other than Justin Trudeau

So anytime you wish to make a wager on a prediction you let me know. Heck will let Uke hold the cash or a donation to the others charity.

Lets see which predictions I have coming
Justin Trudeau will not win a majority
Jason Kenney loses the next election
The GOP takes back the senate
The next president of the USA will be a Republican if Joe Biden runs or Harris

What happens Monday is the PPC wins their usual number of seats, thankfully. Or is there a riding or two where they have a shot?

Agreed. So why TF did you ask him how much he won??

Sigh.

There are conservatives and there are right wing nut jobs. Just as there are liberals and leftist lunatics

Peterson appeals too far right for otoole's strategy of courting Trudeau's voters

I think you mean the leftist media doesn't like Peterson and Otoole seems scared of them hurting his chances of courting Trudeau voters.

It also doesn't really matter what peterson actually is. It is about what it signals. Going to peterson's podcast is signalling a step to the right, and sicne O'Toole is doing everything to signal that he is almost as far left as trudeau, it doesn't make any sense.

Because he's constantly going on about his 2020 winnings as if he's political genius and im assuming he never predicted the 2016 correctly.

I'd bet 1 and 3 but not 2. 4 is a toss up imo

That was not a common bet, so I did not bet on that. I did bet on the overall results and a ton of state results (even some for Trump like Ohio). I posted my prediction of the state map results here and got every state right, with the one minor tweak being North Carolina which I said I thought Trump would win but I hoped Biden would for funsies. I did not bet on the NC result.

That's the thing - I don't gamble for the sake of gambling. Gambling bores me. The 2016 election did not have nearly the mathematical advantage as the 2020 one did, and the markets while not insignificant, were nowhere close to what we saw in 2020, which was by a large margin the biggest single betting event in history. I did not particularly care a ton about the 2016 result, so you can say I underestimated how much of a derp Trump and his followers would be if he won, so I don't get everything right. Guess they at least made up some of that to me in the end...

Not hard to guess how 2020 went for you. Bonus part was the insane amounts made after the actual result, and then toss in very fortunate crypto timing to handle the cashouts.

Thanks for expressing your interest, it reminded me of how much the Trumpderp bitterness was a bonus as they hurled money at me and others. Shame that the Canadian election is a nothing market as it is always +EV betting against people like you when possible.

All the best.

I find it interesting . Though all my bets are with my brother Cans of Mcafe coffee to pods of Tim Hortons

I won big in 2016 as I took Trump at 5-1 and lost in 2020 to him

I am surprised you think Trudeau gets a majority ill bet a $100 on that one. Ill even trust you tp pay it. Of course you will have to trust me. E-transfer works for me

Of course. There is no other significant direct effect he can have on the end result of this election.

This is a tough election to call. I think many CDN's are pissed at him for doing it

Last week I would have said the Conservatives could win a majority government but like the article I posted Max could screw this up.

Amazing how stupid these PPC voters can be that they may hand Justin a win

I see him losing 4 seats

I don't see the PPC costing the Conservatives a majority. Yeah they are derps but their Purple People Eater powers only go so far.

I will take the other side of the wager, because of my prior posts, though I will say I do not feel this is the massively LOL+EV spot that 2020 represented in a lot of the wagers (10% return in a week to bet that Biden wins New York state?). I will say that he maintains a minority and gains a handful of seats. Good luck!

you have trudeau gaining? I'm on slight loss for sure. Not clear whether that means CPC or Libs pull out the plurality. Regardless, very much hoping NDP props the libs up.

While not immediately, I think it does affect policy long term. It is exactly in the same way that the green party motivates the liberals to have good green policies. Having a strong PPC signals to the CPC that they can't drift too far away from conservative principles without risking losing support to the PPC, so it is a sort of loose anchor providing a force that drives policy back to the right. Although this goes both ways; the existence of a strong PPC is partial a reflection of the leftward shift in the CPC.

Well, you have more to boast about than the guy in the BFI forums who has passed on crypto all this time, but did finish in the top 3 of the play money trading contest!

Congrats on winning at least half a million in 2016. I did not participate much in political betting at that time as on the real sites one did not get 5-1 on Trump. Still. you can say that Hillary bought you a house!

I appreciate your trust in me, but I said he would win a handful more seats, mainly because its the opposite position you are taking. They currently have 155 and need 170 for a majority. While that may be possible, I am assuming they end up with 160-165 or so.

I admit I think it is amusing that you thought the conservatives ever had a chance for a majority. I will give you 7-1 on that because I am always generous enough to give those odds on a 100ish -1 situation .

Honestly, it is probably a coin flip or so, but how can I not take the contrary to Lozen side of things, so I will go with a few seat gain for the fun of it, since no real market exists for this. If he is right and they lose a couple seats, cool, I will say well done, and he is happy as he gets to whine about Trudeau for years (apologies to his family for that). If I am right I will of course claim that proves that my system works, so kind of a freeroll for me . Shifty dude is a whatever - who knows or cares what he thinks is possible in reality.
