Step back for a moment. Here is the imaginary scenario…

If you were told your candidate was going to beat an incumbent president, you'd be happy. If you were also told your candidate was going to win by over 4 million votes, you'd be even happier. Furthermore, if you were also told your candidate was in position to have their electoral college total be over 300 electoral votes, then you would be impressed with that trifecta.

But, I'm still not seeing much from posters on either side of the isle giving Biden enough credit.

Most Republicans on this forum are too partisan to give a Democrats credit for anything. And there are plenty of Democrats that had a different personal favorite, be it, Sanders, Warren, etc. Granted, the age of Biden is concerning, but once we got to the general election, he was up against an also old Trump. The fact is Biden's win and the numbers behind it are commendable.

#1 I think there have been about 32 presidents that have run for a second term. I think my numbers are precise in that of the 32 presidents that ran for a second term, 21 won and 11 lost. Meatloaf said, "two out three ain't bad." Incumbent presidents have won a second term at about a 66% rate. Beating an incumbent president isn't easy. Joe Biden did.

#2 Joe Biden is on pace to win the popular vote by over 4 million votes. Enough said.

#3 Of the states with the highest electoral college votes, many have voted the same way for at least the last 8 elections. Forget about California's 55 EC. Forget about Texas and it's 38 EC. Forget about New York's 29 EC. Forget about Illinois and it's 20 EC. Those previously mentioned states have all voted the same way for at least the last 8 elections. The highest electoral college "swing" states are Florida' 29 EC and Pennsylvania's 20 EC. It takes 270 EC to win. That makes 2 impressive tiers. Winning by at least 20 EC and winning by at least 29 EC meaning you didn't need those states. Joe Biden is currently at 290 EC and moves to 306 EC once all states are accounted for. Given the partisan voting of modern day elections, getting to 300+ EC is th gold standard. Joe Biden did it.

IF you can't give Biden credit for beating an incumbent president, winning by over 4 million votes, and probably getting over 300 electoral votes, THEN you are being a hypocrite.

It was a hate vote against Donald Trump! Let's not pretend that people voted Biden because he is a great leader. And also COVID 19 played a big role in this election, so you can also thank to the Chinese government and XI Jing Ping.
Let's watch the next 2 years of Biden in the White House and see if he can do anything. From my experience politicians just make false promises untill they get what they want which is the people vote and afterwards they just follow their own agenda.
