What are you talking about? There are over 17 million cosmetic surgeries/procedures a year in the US alone and people that can't afford American plastic surgeons often go to places like the DR or Mexico for their surgeries. You don't need much money or a high paying job to get surgery. You just need the ability to get a loan. People that are wasting their money paying plastic surgery loans are the exact type of people that can't come up with $400s for an emergency.
As for the trucks, I know lots of guys with blue collar jobs and families to support that have newish $50k+ trucks. My buddy that just got released by ICE recently has a used truck worth about $20k but he pays like 15 to 20% interest on it so it might as well be a $50k truck.
As for the airlines, why should we bail them out? Survival of the fittest, IMO. Warren Buffett will bail a couple of them out and the rest can go out of business for all I care. Oh, I can imagine the horror that some people will experience when the remaining airlines don't offer first class anymore. 1st class is just another in a long list of examples of wasteful and completely unnecessary spending by Americans.
