I like historical data.

For example, the "Blue wall" is a term used by political pundits to refer to 18 U.S. states and the District of Columbia that the Democratic Party consistently won in presidential elections between 1992 and 2012. George W. Bush, the only Republican president elected during this time, was able to narrowly win the electoral college in 2000 and 2004 only by winning states outside of the blue wall.

I think the "Blue Wall" is back after the Hildawg drubbing of 2016. Biden should be fine if the blue wall is back.

California (55), New York (29), Illinois (20), Pennsylvania (20), Michigan (16), New Jersey (14), Washington (12), Massachusetts (11), Maryland (10), Minnesota (10), Wisconsin (10), Oregon (7), Connecticut (7), Hawaii (4), Maine (4), Rhode Island (4), Delaware (3), and Vermont (3), as well as Washington, D.C. (3); this is a total of 242 electoral votes...that is a heck of a nice starting point on the way to needing 270.

And many of these states are in cold weather areas, therefore they are not going to hate on Joe Biden for staying hidden away in his bunker trying to keep warm.

I agree with you only because I'd trust the people around him more to do everything, but that's pretty sad when our options are trump or a shadow collective of people we didn't actually vote in. That's the way the system is designed. You don't vote directly for the cabinet. This is nothing new. People complained about Alexander Hamilton having too much power in the Washington administration.

Biden is an insider, a creep, and obviously has substantial cognitive decline.
It's possible Trump has each of those qualities as well, but if so, it's mostly to a lesser degree.

If Dems ran Biden in '16 when he still had a brain and momentum from Obama administration, instead of Hitlery, he woulda beat Trump easily. Now they have a mush brain against the current President and if it's competitive it will be due to an uncertain economic situation.

It seems like a lot to say it's a "Blue Wall" for this election when the current President won PA, MI & WI in the last election. I don't think red states are going to turn against Trump, and not sure how crazy people are gonna be about letting the Dems take away their guns when roving gangs are shooting, looting, and burning down cities.

I said IF it is the restoration of the "Blue Wall", THEN Joe Biden will be okay. And let's call the traditional Republican states the "Red Sea." I'm not wasting a lot of energy thinking Biden will win Georgia or Texas.

In 2016, people got it all wrong on an electoral college level and most don't want to fully admit it. But first you have to go back to 2008. When Obama became the first black person to win the nomination of a major party, all bets were off on how it would play out. He did well. Now go to 2016, when Hillary became the first woman to win the nomination of a major party, all bets were off on how it would play out. She did poorly. I wrote in this thread a few posts back that Donald "grab 'em by the pussy" Trump won the white women vote running against a white woman. Say what ever you want, but blacks and young people came out in force to vote for Obama. But Hillary Clinton couldn't even rely on white women. That is some cold blooded crap.

We are back to white guy versus white guy for president. Does the "Blue Wall" return? Does Biden's VP choice harm or hurt? If Biden picks a black woman does the black part help more than the woman part hurts?

Ummm honestly I worry for your brain if you actually think Trump's brain is any better.

Read this below, as one of about one hundred things I could cite and explain to me how this brain is not mush. This is lunacy, idiocy and incoherence all in one. The trifecta of dementia.

Sean Hannity:
Let’s talk about a second term. If you hear in 131 days from now, at some point in the night or early morning, we can now project Donald J. Trump has been reelected the 45th president of the United States. Let’s talk. What’s at stake in this election as you compare and contrast, and what is one of your top priority items for a second term?

Donald Trump:
Well, one of the things that will be really great… You know, the word experience is still good. I always say talent is more important than experience. I’ve always said that, but the word experience is a very important word. It’s a very important meeting. I never did this before. I never slept over in Washington. I was in Washington, I think, 17 times. All of a sudden, I’m president of the United States. You know the story. I’m riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our First Lady and I say, “This is great.”

Donald Trump:
But I didn’t know very many people in Washington, it wasn’t my thing. I was from Manhattan from New York. Now I know everybody, and I have great people in the administration. You make some mistakes. An idiot like Bolton, all he wanted to do is drop bombs on everybody. You don’t have to drop bums on everybody. You don’t have to kill people.

There are some people that won't vote for a woman, but Hitlery is also uniquely unlikeable and untrustworthy.

I would guess a lot of independent/on-the-fence voters will prioritize the economy and not letting the extremist elements of the left loot and burn down the country. The economy seemed to be doing fine until the unique situation with COVID, so that favors Trump if anyone, and since it's members of the left that are destroying various cities, that would also favor Trump.

As far as a VP, if Biden picks Kamala Harris, while she will get in some good barbs, she is also rather unlikeable imo.

Hmm strange, I understood completely what he was trying to say, even if it wasn't eloquent. Often times I have no idea what the hell biden is saying/trying to say. Trumps an idiot, both old af so IQ severely declining, but there is something seriously wrong with biden and it seems as if its progressed much further than trump. I don't want either one anywhere near making decisions for my life. Honestly seems quite disingenuous and pure partisanship when people tell me they don't get it (in regards to my thoughts on biden).

And yeah nowhere did I say I prefer "trump's brain", chill out.

Solid example of this in the last 24 hrs.

Trump seems to think that the story is Russians are attacking American troops and doesn't understand that Russians paid Afghan insurgents to kill US troops. So if this go to the point of something criminal, like Trump testified under oath he didn't know about this and it can be proved that he was told about it and discussed it with others, he has a solid mental deficiency defense because even after the story is all over the news he still isn't able to quite process it at a basic level. He could have easily been told this multiple times in the past and simply never understood what he was told because of his mental diseases so he could potentially be not guilty wrt to perjury. Granted he'll never testify under oath as his lawyer already said he is not mentally fit to do so. But Bidden critics don't claim these same kind of major cognitive insufficiencies with him so they focus on trivial stuff like "120 million i mean thousand" so imo they are not really in the same league.

This.

Trump was not eloquent to begin with, has a weirdly blunt & ADD way of speaking, and has large gaps in his knowledge, so it's difficult to say how much he's declined. Meanwhile, it's evident Biden often totally loses his train of though, if the train was even on the tracks to start.

Trump may speak in incoherent word salads but he has so much confidence, bravado and bluster that a lot of people hear that and think "Yeah this guy knows what he's talking about." He did that for years on the apprentice TV show as well. He rambles on about business sounding stuff but because of the way he speaks and the way it's presented, people thought he actually was a good businessman.

I did watch a season of it all the way through a few years ago and the funny thing is that Trump (and his kids) never actually do anything business related. They order people around, criticize others for making mistakes and are just there to look and seem important. In other words, the same stuff they're doing now in the White House.

One lesson you can take from him is that your tone and manner of speaking can be as important as the words you actually say.

Great explain it to me then. What in that addresses the question asked of him by Hannity, in any way?

Also explain these from the Trump thread if you think him coherent...

----
He is a treasure trove of idiocy.

A small sampling...

On 9/11
"I think I could have stopped it because I have very tough illegal immigration policies, and people aren't coming into this country unless they're vetted and vetted properly." Hannity,

On Gay Marriage
"It's like in golf... A lot of people - I don't want this to sound trivial - but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive... it's weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can't sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist." New York Times,

On Global Warming
"It's really cold outside, they are calling it a major freeze, weeks ahead of normal. Man, we could use a big fat dose of global warming!" Twitter

On Making America Great Again
"The line of 'Make America great again,' the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody's using it, they are all loving it. I don't know, I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it." MyFox New York,

On Health Care
“Nobody knew health care could be so complicated.” Washington Post

On His Intelligence
"Sorry losers and haters, but my IQ is one of the highest - and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure, it's not your fault." Twitter

Ok great. You say 'this' which means you think you can read that understand what Trump meant.

So please explain to me what, in that reply, answered Hannity's question.

Here it is again to help you. Just cut and paste or bold or highlight what part actually answers the question and does not otherwise sound like a senile old uncle asked about dinner than ranting about the clouds.

No he is not 'just pandering'. What he says above is painfully stupid and not purposely so. It is not some 4D chess game where he thinks I will say something incoherent and stupid to pander.

it just so happens that his base loves it. They love an idiot being King of the Idiots and they love foisting that Idiot on the Libs as a way to 'burn' them.

But make no mistake, anyone voting for Trump is "...also voting for a live body that will hopefully temper the wills of said people and be accountable to their base. (His) brain is mush, whoever is pulling the strings is going to have a field day."

But somehow you only see that in one candidate.

And to be clear, most here are able to be properly critical of Biden including recognizing his cognitive decline. That is not the point.

We also know that the 30% of Trumps base will support him despite the craziest of crazies.

But if it everyone beyond that 30%.

A narrative that Joe is not fit due to dementia, that leaves Trump as the default better option is just nonsense. You may not intend that but when you only point it out in Joe, say he should not be running, complain about it that is the impression that is given.

Fine if you want to point out Joe's issues but ensure you do not do so in a way that makes it seem like Trump is, in any way a better option, when he is clearly not.

Which was NEVER my narrative, are you in decline also? I literally said I'd never vote for trump and also showed my disdain for the guy over and over in nearly every single post. I literally said neither one of these guys should be in office/in a position to make any decisions for any part of humanity, what don't you get bro?

I do however think if there was a linear way to scale progression of dementia/decline of mental facilities biden is further along than trump is. He prob had a bit of a headstart with trump in regards to intelligence etc but even that lead seems to have melted away, he's looking real bad. One is an idiot, one is a blubbering idiot mainly because his brain has melted. I even said about 7 posts ago this shows how broken the system is that this is somehow our only 2 options... sad sham.

And about your response to my live body stuff, nah I think trump he thinks is right by thinking about it way more often than biden will. I don't think that is good for the country though... as I stated...
