I told you I cringe everytime someone talks national polling when we actually use the electoral college not the popular vote. And even looking back, you see very little state by state analysis of how to get to 270+ electoral college votes. It is just, "person-x is ahead in the polling." Even today, I'd say for every ten articles about Biden being ahead in the polling, only one will go into depth about how it relates to the electoral college votes needed to get to 270+. Most just mention the national polling, but even when they start talking about particular states, they almost never go the true final step and talk about getting to 270+ EC.

And Biden getting a bazillion more votes in California doesn't change the fact those extra votes were meaningless past just winning the state by one vote. The national polling means nothing until the National Popular Interstate Compact gets enough electoral college votes to kick in. Wow surprise surprise I keep talking about the electoral college, which just happens to mostly be missing from pundits conversations and articles.
