when USSR existed they raised more people out of poverty and educated more people than other society in the shortest time.
This is a great explanation of how communism works. For a short period of time everyone rides the gravy train until the lack of incentive to work hard and innovate slows the economy to the point it can’t sustain the gravy train.

Remember when there was some occupation by the uber-lefties in Portland and they set up their own little village in the middle of town?
I remember seeing a crazy number of posts online where people were suggesting this insanity spread, and like 95% of them volunteered their services watching the community's children or running the village library or whatever. Nobody offered to do things that involved sweating or getting dirty.
It's sad that Portland experiment got shut down so quickly over all the internal violence. I really wanted to see how that would play out.

Are you referring to the Seattle CHAZ/CHOP autonomous zone?
The "independent zone" or whatever they called it was a thing in a Seattle neighborhood for a few weeks.
Some people in Portland tried to copy it and do a similar thing, but it was on a much smaller scale and only lasted a few days. It was really only about 2 blocks on one street, but it was annoying because it was in my neighborhood. I tried to walk through with my dog and some ******* with a rifle tried to stop me. I would have just walked through anyway except I noticed a lot of broken glass on the road and I didn't want my dog to get hurt. They did it around a big rundown house which is actually owned by a well-off family who lefties in town like to portray as victims.
Everyone note: this is from the "Christian" Broadcasting Network and is obviously a biased right-wing report.
The last few years have not been good to Portland, but I think these are problems that have been getting worse in many big cities over the last few years.
I live in the city, am out in business/entertainment districts late at night several times a week, take public transportation, and have never been harassed or felt unsafe.
I also disagree with some of how the city has handled some of the issues, but it's tough for them to try to fix much when the left-wing activist young people protest any common-sense measures and seem to think it's a bad thing to want homeless people to live somewhere other than in a tent on the street.

So if it is Christian it must be right-wing? Interesting. Don't tell Catholic Biden!
Every media organization I have ever seen calling itself Christian was right-wing.

Only three of those have the word "Christian" in them, and two of them also have the word "Progressive". Because they know most Christian media is the opposite of progressive, so they have to make it clear. None look like major media outlets, these are magazines with low circulation numbers.
Regardless, I didn't even say I knew the CBN was biased from their name. I could tell the news report was biased by watching the video.

Let's say it is a biased, right-wing source. Can you point to any parts of the video that are inaccurate?

Probably has low circulation because the left has seemingly lost God. But God is good and the door is always open to come back.

Nothing untruthful that I noticed, but I don't think the problems mentioned are unique to Portland, and they obviously just tried to present the worst picture possible.
You can't judge how attractive a person is by just looking at their a$$hole.
My first thought when reading this was that this just had to be fake. Of course, it is true, as there are multiple sources out there saying the same thing.
The Dems have lost their damn minds if they think this is good policy or optics. That there is no reasonable alternative to this nonsense is infuriating.
