We live in the most heavily armed country in the developed world. We have high rates of violent crime especially in urban areas. 10 million arrests per year. Over 50 million police-civilian interactions. Some percentage of these will turn violent. You are dreaming if you think these type of incidents will never happen again. Videos of the police killing someone will continue to appear, people will once again protest and riot, and the cycle will continue until this country miraculously disarms itself, or human cops are replaced with bulletproof robots.

It doesn't even matter if we could somehow eliminate all incidents of unjustifiable killings by police. The Michael Brown shooting was 100% justified, and still led to looting and violence.

There has been lots of protests on freeways. Very few people have been hit, and most of the people who have been hit it was accidental by scared drivers trying to get away from protestors attacking their cars.

What is going on in this video I don't know. According to the tweet the entire freeway had been closed due to the protestors. So how the driver got on the freeway and what he was doing driving down it is not clear. It could have legitimately been premeditated attempted murder.

DailyMail has picked up on the story, but the US MSM seems to be napping it out so far. It is noon on a Saturday so it could just be that, but if this media blackout goes on much longer I think we have to start to suspect the story is being suppressed because preliminary details don't support the right narrative.

It looked like from video they were blocking a major highway. The driver swerved to avoid impact with vehicles and hit two people dressed in black in middle of highway.

My understanding is they have been blocking this highway every night for 20 straight days. Roadblocks were set up and the freeway cleared out in anticipation of this.

The media has been suppressing the anarchy going on in Seattle (and a lot of other places) for so long it is actually a surprise to most people when they get exposed to it by a story too big to suppress.

My instincts were right. The driver was black. That is why the leftist MSM isn't interested in this story. A couple days ago they couldn't talk enough about protesters being attacked by drivers, and most of the examples they gave were completely fake, and it was mostly motorists being attacked by protesters.

Then a driver actually seriously hits a couple protesters at high speed and severely wounding them and the media is napping it out.

Of course Wookie and Goofy will come in and link some story buried on a back page of CNN or WaPo as proof the story is being covered. But hopefully by now the rest of you are wise enough not to fall for this gaslighting.

If the driver had been white you can guarantee his picture would be the front page of every newspaper and website and this would be the biggest story going right now.

This didnt cross my mind exactly I just noticed it was odd they simply said "the driver is in custody" and left it at that. I guess yes if it was a known white supremacist his face would definitely be exposed. Still prefer to not jump to prejudicial conclusions.

This is ending how one would imagine, despite thinking it might just peter out. The young fools think anarchy is the way to protest, it's funny and meme worthy, until it's not, and the violent unregulated nature of anarchy starts to show its teeth.

Of course you have people saying they were not defending this **** show, but at every point they were here to downplay the clear and evident signs of a dangerous and violent atmosphere that comes with no police.

The Seattle Mayor gave up sections of her city and people died as a result. You don't placate mobs. I also see that most of the violence is self-inflicted, in other words, it was not caused by militant white supremist, but rather a direct result of placating these mobs that leant itself to violence.

Yes it was an honest mistake. CNN have been run off their feet with the Kanye thing and I'm sure this will all be rectified by tonight unless Trump debuts a new tie and then it can't be helped.
