So it is very unlikely you or any other poster can actually answer the question "what happened to Cuepee" with anything other than guesses pulled out of your ass. It's ironic you think this type of speculation is appropriate now, as back in Feb Cuepee actually posted a goodbye post, and he specifically singled out you.

Given how Cuepee told us exactly why he was leaving in his goodbye post (more accurately characterized as a long string of posts of that got him immediately rebanned), surely we can say that without it being termed pulled out of our ass. And as a non banned member he is free to correct the record if he wants to and your prior edicts against talking about banned members don't apply hence the apparent need for yet-another-rule. Also lol at quoting Cuepee here; as it happens, in that post storm he actually ended up confirming my suspicions of why he hadn't come back after his first ban were exactly what I guessed.

Anyways, light-hearted banter about recent history here (kinda like what you and I are having now) is fine and natural. If it gets super entrenched and problematic ok you can ask people to steer the conversation away, but I find just deleting right out of the get go to be heavy handed. As usual.

The reticence to ban him is probably due to the fact that a healthy forum environment needs dissenting voices. Unfortunately, when the dissenting voices come in the form of insufferable trolls, it makes the mod's job pretty difficult. You ban him, you're "silencing conservatives". You let him stay, you're "running a Nazi ant farm". It's a fairly delicate balancing act.

Wreckem713 has been temp banned for, among other things, recreating closed threads under slightly different names. Pls dont try and game the system if you dont like a mod action.

Just to clarify, there was no reticence to ban him. It was more a factor that I'm a week out from moving to Thailand and my time on here is limited and will get more so in the upcoming days. And dissenting opinions doesnt play into it either. You have to have opposing views to have a debate/ discussion. So it's nothing to do with liberal/conservative ideas. But when a mod takes anaction like closing a thread or deleting a post, reposting it is not disent ,it's just repeat rule breaking.

D2_e4 has been temp banned for insults. Eastcobb has been permabanned for insults as he already had received two temp bans in the last 6 weeks for insults.

A reminder: if you feel someone insulted you to the point it violates our guidelines, report it. But dont retaliate and get into a back and forth of insults, otherwise you are also in violation of the rules.

Also, dont assume that just because a post that violates our guidelines stays up for a few days with no mod action taken that it means that it was an acceptable post and similar posts are OK. As Ive mentioned I have limited time right now so I may not see or take action on a post immediately. But all the regular posters know the rules now, so pls stay within our guidelines when posting.
