I have always adored good movies. There is even a thing that I'd rather watch a movie for the 5th time that is guaranteed to be cool than spend a few hours of my life watching something that is not clear. What movie would you choose if you could forget what it was about? So to speak, to watch it again? I would probably choose one of the Star Wars movies.

Some gen z -ish post irony for this forum

Earlier this week, I went to Lauryn Hill's concert for the 25th anniversary of her "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" album. While this is a whole tour, I was at the Prudential Center in Newark, which is more or less home for Lauryn and so a more meaningful venue for her than other stops along the way. I had floor tickets and was as close to the stage as you're allowed to be. Her music is some of my favorite, and for anyone who doesn't know of her, her time with the Fugees and this album (despite being her only solo studio album) did a lot to influence music -- it's difficult to overstate her influence. But she is so frustrating to like. For one thing, she was over 2 hours late to start, something she is well known for. For another:

It was just a lot, very tiring. But perhaps my favorite song, Tell Him, was done slower, and thankfully someone recorded it.



Also interesting, the Fugees did perform. They may never perform together again as one of the members, Pras, is very likely to be going to jail for a long time once appeals are done and sentencing happens:
