Let's talk movies boys!

Billy Bob Thornton got old, watch the grizzly maze, where they hunt a grizzly bear! Lucky it's a bear movie!

It's a movie about hunting and porching, pretty cool. With Billy as a hunter. I couldn't recognize him at first. haha. First second, that looks like Billy but that can't be, him can it?
Looks nothing like when he used to bang Angelina jolie in a limo, or as bad santa.

The Grizzly Maze

I have always adored good movies. There is even a thing that I'd rather watch a movie for the 5th time that is guaranteed to be cool than spend a few hours of my life watching something that is not clear. What movie would you choose if you could forget what it was about? So to speak, to watch it again? I would probably choose one of the Star Wars movies.

I recently watched the Long Shot and greatly enjoyed it.

Seth Rogen plays a stoner.

And then there are a bunch that I don't need to forget to be able to rewatch, and already do. The ones that come to mind immediately, in no particular order:

Lord of the Rings
Shawshank Redemption
Godfather Trilogy (Just can't stop myself from watching III once I've rewatched the first two, regardless of the quality drop)
Star Wars IV-VI
Man with No Name "Trilogy", Outlaw Josey Wales, and a lot of other Eastwood
Band of Brothers
The Pacific
The Shining (and almost anything Kubrick)
The Big Lebowski (and almost anything Coen brothers)
Dark Knight trilogy (and almost anything Nolan)
Django Unchained (and almost anything Tarantino)
Gangs of New York (and almost anything Scorsese or with Daniel Day Lewis)

OK, I need to stop now - clearly I love too many movies.

I'm a music poster now. I like this song and fitting for the thread since it caused a political controversy.

Earlier this week, I went to Lauryn Hill's concert for the 25th anniversary of her "Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" album. While this is a whole tour, I was at the Prudential Center in Newark, which is more or less home for Lauryn and so a more meaningful venue for her than other stops along the way. I had floor tickets and was as close to the stage as you're allowed to be. Her music is some of my favorite, and for anyone who doesn't know of her, her time with the Fugees and this album (despite being her only solo studio album) did a lot to influence music -- it's difficult to overstate her influence. But she is so frustrating to like. For one thing, she was over 2 hours late to start, something she is well known for. For another:

Quote:
While the original “Miseducation” album teems with humanity, warmth and reasonable pacing, Hill’s live performance style more readily mimics a freight train injected with nitrous oxide. Her raps are quickened to inhuman speeds, her sung vocals are half-shouted body blows, she’s forever battling with the audio technician off-stage to adjust her in-ear monitors.
It was just a lot, very tiring. But perhaps my favorite song, Tell Him, was done slower, and thankfully someone recorded it.

Also interesting, the Fugees did perform. They may never perform together again as one of the members, Pras, is very likely to be going to jail for a long time once appeals are done and sentencing happens:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pras
Quote:
The DOJ alleged that between June 2012 and November 2012, Michel aided in the illegal transfer of approximately $865,000 from foreign entities into the Barack Obama 2012 presidential campaign. The DOJ alleged that these funds were disguised as purportedly legitimate contributions, but were stolen from the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).[1][2][21] Ultimately, the DOJ alleged that $21 million in foreign campaign contributions were funneled into the 2012 US presidential election to benefit "Candidate A".[2][22][23] The Washington Post and The New York Times identified "Candidate A" as Barack Obama.[24][2]

In June 2021, Pras was charged by a federal grand jury for running a back-channel campaign to get the Trump administration to drop an investigation of Jho Low and the 1MDB investment company.[21][25][26]

He was also accused of advocating for the extradition of a Chinese dissident, Guo Wengui, from the United States.[27][28][21] In the plea documents of former DOJ employee George Higginbotham, Pras was accused of paying Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy and others to have Guo extradited to China.
