i for one would be fine with WOAT's idea of increasing funding to the police..
provided we fire every existing officer/no grandfathering, hire about half the existing number in new candidates, end the washed out of the military-->into police pipeline, require 4 year accredited college degrees focused on social work/pyscology/criminology, 2 yr academy programs with mandatory continuing education classes every month, end qualified immunity, make them carry their own liability insurance that will make them not able to be rehireable after a bad shoot.
hell do that and pay them quadruple for all i care.
