According to dictionary.com, that is a secondary definition. The primary one you mention doesn't even make logical sense, so it can't be that one.

They also know how to party ("furpile" and some "yiffing"—in short, an orgies) as I learned in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation "Fur and Loathing" (Season 4, Episode 5)

Black Conservative TURNS AGAINST His OWN Party

Without hate and fear in your heart, the MAGA party can't control you.

“Why are you still there, you ask?” - because to leave would require admitting they were wrong.

The NFL’s wealthy white owners recruiting Black players in Africa is horrible optics

International recruitment in places like Africa is one of the NFL’s solutions to a declining game.

Youth participation in the U.S. has steadily diminished since 2009,
amid concerns about the game’s major health risks, chiefly brain damage.

kids from more affluent backgrounds withdraw from tackle football,
and participants are increasingly from poorer communities

The optics of the league’s white billionaire owners mining Africa
for Black bodies in a dangerous sport are, well, not good.

The NFL alleged that Black people have lower cognitive abilities than white people,
so any damage done to their brains would inherently warrant less or no money.

The NFL is racially segregated and is managed much like a plantation.

The same thing happened in boxing. If you don't come from poverty, it's kind of crazy to become a boxer. We now know the same is true, to lesser degree, for football.

If you do come from poverty, maybe it's worth it. It's sort of paternalistic to dictate that decision to people. I bet they could also find some good players in Eastern Europe.

Disagree. Football and UFC are the two remaining gladiator sports in the US.

Football remains the most popular high school sport even though it's feeder system has been diminished by health concerns of parents.

Boxing couldn't compete with the multi-disciplines of the UFC and is dying on the vine.

It's one data point, but the one guy I know personally who played in the NFL for 3 years grew up in a very affluent area and went to a high school in said area that has dominated football in the state for many years.

The best two high school teams in the Austin area are predominantly white upper class. I can think of three qbs off the top of my head that went to one or the other. Drew brees, nick foles and baker mayfield.

Powerball: US man sues lottery after being told $340m win is error

A Washington DC man who thought he won a jackpot worth $340m (£270m) has sued Powerball and the DC Lottery, who claim they published his numbers by mistake.

John Cheeks said he felt "numb" when he first saw Powerball's winning numbers matched his ticket in January 2023.

But when Mr Cheeks presented his ticket to the Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG), his claim was denied.

According to court documents, Powerball and a lottery contractor, the DC-based Taoti Enterprises, claim the confusion arose from a technical error.

In a court filing, a Taoti employee said that on 6 January 2023 - the day Mr Cheeks bought his ticket - a quality assurance team was running tests on the website.

On that day, a set of test Powerball numbers, which matched Mr Cheeks' numbers - was posted on the website "accidentally", according to court documents. Those numbers remained online for three days, until 9 January.

The numbers online did not match the numbers that were drawn at the last lottery draw, according to the Taoti employee.

Mr Cheeks is now suing on eight separate counts, including breach of contract, negligence, infliction of emotional distress. and fraud.

Sure. There are going to be some, especially in Texas.

This should be kinda easy. If I were a dad 30 years ago, it wouldn't even occur to me to forbid my son from playing fb.

One of my friends played and his dad was a neurologist! Nobody even thought about it.

Today, if I were a dad, I wouldn't even entertain the idea of allowing my son to play.

I don't think this is unusual. Why would you want your kids to risk suicidal depression to play game x instead of game y?
