Good news for the polling systems companies if true.

I cannot see how Mike does not lose those lawsuits and get the maximum penalty possible of 'Billions' which will bankrupt him as they 'real' damages to those companies is massive and demonstrable.

I would not be surprised if they both have to close down regardless after just due to jurisdictions not wanting to use them to avoid any of the allegations of 'rigged', no matter how specious.

I think many Dems again see these paths the Republicans on as deplorable and ones they think voters will ultimately reject and vote for them. So in many ways this is good politics for them as the Republicans go ever more to the extremes of white supremacy and other 'deplorable' issues.

But what I fear the Dem's are not taking seriously enough is that the Republicans have no intent to 'run' on any issues as a way to win. They know they will lose the vote and the elections and they have accepted that. So now the entire focus is on how to over turn them.

And the Supreme Court has already indicated they will not be a check and balance on that. That it is Congress that needs to set those rules. But if Trump and Co hijack Congress in 2024, Congress will enshrine the opposite and potentially seal the deal for losing elections but keeping minority rule, for decades to come.

If they want this guy to get his own lead in a movie they need to focus on giving them better names!

Alberta researchers just identified a dino that at one point was bigger & meaner than the T-Rex

...thanks to researchers at the University of Calgary, we now know that there was actually a bigger, badder, more predatory dinosaur than that of the Tyrannosaurus – the Ulughbegasaurus....

90 million years ago the Ulughbegasaurus, which was approximately 5 times the size of the T-Rex that existed at the same time, dominated the prehistoric era before going extinct. Later, the T-Rex would grow to become the giant that we know of today, but the Ulughbegasaurus was the baddest dino on the planet for a while.

According to scientists, this beast weighed over 1,000 kilograms, was somewhere between 7.5-metres to 8-metres in length, and had blade-like teeth and a knife-like bite...

Want to get away with Murder, take a vacation to this Wonder of the World.

Yellowstone National Park - Zone of Death

The Zone of Death is the name given to the 50 sq mi (129.50 km2) Idaho section of Yellowstone National Park in which, as a result of a purported loophole in the Constitution of the United States, a criminal could theoretically avoid prosecution for any major crime, up to and including murder...

...Trials in the district court are normally held at the federal courthouse in Cheyenne, Wyoming. However, the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution decrees that juries in federal criminal cases must be made up of citizens who are from both the district and state where the crime was committed. Because of this, charges for a crime alleged to have been committed in the area of the park in Idaho would have to be tried before a jury consisting entirely of residents of that area, and the trial would also have to take place in that area.[6] As the Idaho portion of the park is uninhabited, a jury of residents of both the state and district could not be impaneled. Though the Constitution does not guarantee the right to a jury trial in all prosecutions (certain minor criminal offenses can be ajudicated by a judge); a defendant facing any felony or misdemeanor charge, being unable to receive a constitutional trial, could not be legally punished regardless of guilt or innocence.

14,000 Haitians are living under a bridge in Texas in the city of del rio, normal population 35,000. I read yesterday there’s up to 20,000 more in transit within Mexico. But slate.com told me 4 months ago the ‘border crisis’ is a Republican fantasy

Quote:
Homeland Security officials are planning as many as eight flights per day to Haiti, three officials said, while cautioning that plans remained in flux.
It’s another airlift, this time from under a bridge in texas back to Haiti

Quote:
The Biden administration continues to use a pandemic enforcement measure known as Title 42 to rapidly “expel” border crossers to Mexico or their home countries. Officials said some of the flights to Haiti would probably be expulsion flights relying on the public health authority of the Title 42 provision.
Quote:
By announcing its intent to deport the Haitians before launching the flights, Biden officials also appeared to be hoping some in the camp would abandon their attempt to enter the United States and return to Mexico.
Part of the policy is ‘let’s hope they walk back to Mexico on their own’

Quote:
Migrants arriving to the camp have been given numbered tickets by the Border Patrol as they await a turn to be formally taken into U.S. custody, the first step in starting the process of requesting U.S. asylum or some other form of protection from deportation.
14,000 people queued up under a bridge to be arrested. Shameful shameful **** to have a squalid overflowing refugee camp in the United States.

It could be, not many, 8. "Broadly speaking, the racial distribution of mass shootings mirrors the racial distribution of the U.S. population as a whole."

Mental health is the major reason imo. "This concern is not without merit – in over half of the mass shootings since 1982, the shooter showed prior signs of mental health issues"

Shooter was a third party vendor apparently at a sushi place. It was a senseless act of violence, terrible. The majorioty of shot people were employees.

A big pick up truck came up on us on the highway and did what is called 'Roll Coal' on us and it almost caused an accident as the winds took his diesel smoke into the car beside us who decelerated rapidly almost causing a mufti car crash behind him.

For a sport that has struggled to attract female players, the news that chess has just agreed the biggest ever sponsorship deal for the women’s game would usually be universally welcomed.

But the decision of chess’s governing body, Fide, to partner with the breast enlargement company Motiva is facing growing criticism from some female players, who have called the decision “gross” and “misogynistic”.

The new deal was announced earlier this week, with Fide announcing: “The agreement will continue through 2022, a year that has been designated as ‘The Year of Women in Chess’.”

Trillion-dollar platinum coin could be minted at the last minute

A trillion-dollar platinum coin could be minted "within hours of the Treasury Secretary's decision to do so," Philip Diehl, former director of the United States Mint, tells Axios.

Why it matters: Congressional solutions to the debt-ceiling problem could take weeks to implement, especially if the reconciliation process is used — and time is running out. In case of emergency, a trillion-dollar coin could be deployed to bridge any gap between the money running out and the debt ceiling being raised...

..."Voila, we'd have bought ourselves the equivalent of a trillion-dollar increase in the debt limit, without any impact on inflation," says Diehl.

Yeah but do the Dems have the kahonas to do it. Mitch knows they have to increase it The Dems should call his bluff if they only could figure out how to message it better than the GOP

I guess that's true so long as they don't spend the debt. Kinda like just raising credit card limits.

Dem's are super ineffective as messaging and driving home a point although this point by Jen nails what they should be pummeling the GOP with.

The Trump GOP is responsible for more than 7 times the debt that has to now be paid as opposed to the Biden admin.

$7T for Trump and GOP and ~$700MM for Dems under Biden.

And the GOP is saying 'not paying for it, sorry Dem's that is on you'.

Fortunately for the Dems I am sure we will see the Lincoln Project hammer away effectively on the GOP for that, soon.
