1200-1300 dead Americans yesterday vs 13 police officers alleging “injuries”. Obviously we got to have our priorities. It is a MSM conspiracy!

Quite a few businesses and livelihoods busted up. Presumably you've never been anywhere near anything like that and think it's just a laugh (very much as the looters think).

Call me crazy, but I'd rather be the owner of one of the businesses smashed up (most of which were international conglomerates and publicly traded) than one of the covid victims, but I guess that's just me.

My hot take
This is a bit of an aside, but they have been pushing the "subways are safer than you think" narrative extremely hard the last week or so.

My understanding is the subways are losing a lot of $$ right now because they aren't being used very much, and it would seem they are trying to assist the municipal government in promoting people to start using them again. I skimmed a couple stories earlier in the week and I thought the narrative they were promoting wasn't particularly honest because they never addressed the issue that subway safety is going to be density dependent (the more people that use them at once the less safe they will be). Their main narrative was that the (mostly empty) subways right now don't seem to be a significant source of virus transfer, and hence people should start using them more again.

Hahaha, yes, I'm sure the looters think "it's just a laugh". Like this is just a carefree, fun afternoon for them, certainly not a result of anger. Just a laugh! Har har har har har. *smashes store window*

Yup.

After spending 10s of thousands of years in the political and economic abyss, the intelligent humans were able to finally claim leadership and form a system of governance that has created the most prosperity and peace in our times. God bless capitalism.

The data is all there and those still romanticizing bolshevism / anti-capitalism and the great leap forward are just content with being uneducated their whole lives.

As a multiple business owner and a living human I am going to opt not having me and a hundred other people die for no reason.

I get that conservatives don’t actual value human life once it comes into existence, but others of us do.

It's not great as a standalone example because the indentured/slave part is putting quite a bit of spin on the situation. And there's no real competition or need to try to get ahead/do better or be divided/exploited further by the bosses they're slaves ffs.

When we move over to the free example it's much easier to pit the sides against each other(other people might argue there's strength in numbers and it's better/makes more sense to unite--but that's not what happened lol). And there's far less of the kind of influence something like both being slaves would impart. There's competition and winners/losers. Boston didn't get its rep for nothing

Has our system of Justice put things right? No. Period. We could write books about the lingering effects(long-term and more recent/stolen equity etc) how it still exists but the answer is still just that simple. Arguing otherwise is kinda silly. Even a quick spin thru the crim courts will show you who is getting the dirty end of the stick in outsized numbers And no matter how you slice it--crime(which is hardly just limited to minorities/poor people) of the kind reg cops are mostly looking for ends up being linked to poverty and there's been a giant thumb on the scale in that regard on a pretty broad basis. Our govt is formed by and made up of its people. You're being very naive if you think there is just a small cadre of racists--and that they haven't been able to harness elements of the govt to act on their behalf. Passing the CivilRights Act and then just saying ok we're done here and washing our hands of the matter is hardly putting things right.
I'm simply pointing out the difference between the Irish and Americans who call themselves Irish.

Never said anything about any cadre of anyone, I said I don't believe your system is designed to subjugate and oppress minorities. I don't believe in the systemic foundational institutional racism narrative certain segments of the American far left are pushing. You'll never get rid of racism unless you establish the Thought Police and in this current climate of defunding calls, I can't see Orwell's concept happening any time soon,

Firing a taser you just stole from the cops isn't a good idea. Murder is a legal term nobody has been convicted yet and the cop's arrest seems purely political.

LOL
Thought you had me on ignore? Not interested in your false racist accusation, especially coming from someone who called a rape victim "fair game" for online abuse.

Systemic racism doesn't exist against any of those aforementioned groups today, yet again you conflate racism/prejudice with systemic racism.
Plenty of successful people of all aforementioned groups today, who seem immune to this systemic racism. But like I said it's your country so protest to your heart's content

Looting is not a result of anger it's opportunism stemming from a desire to loot. To falsely claim is due to anger is to justify it.

How does claiming it's due to anger "justify" it? Being angry is not an excuse to do whatever you want!

And since when are "anger" and "desire to loot" mutually exclusive? lol this post is a hot mess of insane claims

I don’t know how that it works in Potatoshire but here in ‘Merica nobody needs to be convicted of anything for a murder to have taken place.

What was the last protest you called legitimate?

And last I checked, respecting humanity was still a posted rule of the forum. Stealing some shoes is not a forfeiture of rights or humanity.
