But the fact Trump has shown he can be bought, and now the fact he has legitimate money problems because the of the lawfare being waged against him by the Dem Party. I think it should be expected that IF Trump becomes President again Xi will just buy him off, and he will be a pro CCP President.

Unclear if Xi can offer more than people in finance or oil or other sectors he could help with targeted deregulation / favourable rules both domestically and for trade and so on.

china responded quickly and harshly, most today concede that was a mistake to do so, by making it a big deal, they elevated them, they should have just routinely ignored them instead

as a result tens of thousands of members went abroad and applied for political asylum in the USA and other countries and we granted it - the leader himself even moved to NYC long before they began the political quest

so if you meet a Chinese person who came to the USA in the late 90s or early aughts, chances are overwhelming high that he's a cult member, the other option is he probably just prefers to read a newspaper in his own language and a locally printed Chinese version of the epoch times is more accessible
