Fascinating. The result I am looking for is to make your sister's face look like a plasterer's radio. Can you help out with that, champ?

No, you are the guy that you ask for the time and he tells you how to build a watch.

Actually, you are the guy that says, "I know how to build the watch" but then don't tell anyone how.

I just want to know from someone who’s seen it whether the world ends in fire or in ice

Fire, always fire.

The end stage of planet Earth is the sun eventually expanding into a red giant and burning up Earth.

Quote:
In about one billion years the solar luminosity will be 10% higher, causing the atmosphere to become a "moist greenhouse", resulting in a runaway evaporation of the oceans. As a likely consequence, plate tectonics and the entire carbon cycle will end.[14] Following this event, in about 2–3 billion years, the planet's magnetic dynamo may cease, causing the magnetosphere to decay and leading to an accelerated loss of volatiles from the outer atmosphere. Four billion years from now, the increase in Earth's surface temperature will cause a runaway greenhouse effect, creating conditions more extreme than present-day Venus and heating Earth's surface enough to melt it. By that point, all life on Earth will be extinct.[15][16] Finally, the most probable fate of the planet is absorption by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, after the star has entered the red giant phase and expanded beyond the planet's current orbit.[17]

There are reality checks that are undeniable. This isn’t contained to the 2p2 forum. When this one hits, you won’t be able to just log off this forum to escape it.

I’m not saying this to threaten or scare, but I’m calling it now so when it happens, you will realize that I wasn’t misrepresenting myself and forgiveness + repentance is available to you.

craig's conception of Christianity is more than a little idiosyncratic.

What if I don't have a soul?

Craig,

Do you believe that in the future attendence
of religious service on Sunday will be mandated by law?

This is all just more evidence that men yearn for the mines. Too long have their hands been left idle and prone to malfeasance.

I will honestly admit Craig’s musings did inspire me to reread The Hollow Men by T S Eliot if only because it reminds me of the profundity I imagine Craig wishes to mimic.

Odd - you always struck me as the sort of person who carries a small paperback copy of Catcher in the Rye with her at all times.

10 points for the reference. Rickroll and Luckbox probably got it straight away, because they are both fonts of usesless factoids.

i mean, you never know when you'll want to just do something important and then sit down and read your copy of salinger as you soak it all in

I think this meme serves the conversation well. People who believe all the animals were literally loaded on a wooden boat etc on the left, those that mock Christianity in the middle, people who respect and value what Christianity has and does bring to society on the right (Religious or not)

We just had the trans thread locked. Exactly. If you don't think the trans issues and wokeness are tied to atheism, you're straight up clueless

Tying this conversation back to moderation. It's quite obvious D2 gets a ton of room because of who he decides to troll, sht post, etc. If he was merely calling out stupidity, he surely would've been posting in the trans thread a lot more than he does mocking Christianity. It's amazing to see a degenerate, nihilistic, man-child mock religion. Like bro, it might all be fake but at least a majority of them have a family, sense of meaning, above average morals, etc. Hurr durr but I'm so big brained I have no spouse or kids, watch porn, do drugs by myself, sht post the forums relentlessly and haven't been to jail in a really long time.

Ok you win bro. You're doing great. Glad your atheism shows you're super smart and superior. Hard not to be condescending in your shoes

You’re in the wrong era. I carry copies of Hardy and Tennyson.

Lol. Feel better, bro? I'm glad that my existence gives your life meaning, if only as a foil.

Sure, give me a temp for that. The place will just be more boring for a day or two.

In mitigation, your honour: I made a point to say "sister" and not "mother", because I am a nice guy like that.
