You not agreeing with their conclusions != their arguments being bad faith; just as their not agreeing with your conclusions != your arguments being bad faith. You are asking me to make a True/False determination on a subjective opinion and then moderate behavior based upon that, which would be problematic at best.

Falsely accusing someone of being a racist with zero to support the false accusation isn't an "argument" it's argumentum ad hominem andI'm aware you weren't mod at the time but here's the thing- the previous mod didn't feel the need to delete it despite it not being very civil by your standards, even though civility according to your good self are "the ground rules" so I guess you're just more of an authoritarian mod, which is good to know, I'll be sure to watch my p's and q's around you.

That said maybe if posters weren't given free reign to falsely accuse others, then heated exchanges would be less frequent, just a thought.

My argument is neither, most of your posts are.

However good to see the mods being at least fair and egalitarian by deleting trolly's false accusation of racism and bad faith posting, to go with his false exoneration claims, as it cuts out heated responses.

It's a perfectly ok definition but in in practice in politics its also used when it's the evidence itself, and what it means, that is in dispute. The gaslighting thingy then just becomes self-serving nonsense or trolling.

Just for the record I am 100% game for explaining why anyone I label a racist is indeed a racist. Contrary to racist beliefs I don’t take such labels lightly. I personally give it thoughtful consideration. It certainly is never intended as a personal attack but instead a matter of fact. It should not really be surprising to anyone that a racist would vehemently deny being a racist.

Just wanted to give a heads up as I am always willing to back up such statements of fact. If we are all honest racists crawled out of the woodwork world wide under the cover of Trump. Unfortunately for them they are now exposed and nowhere to hide.

I respect the fact that Mat passed over Tracy Chapman's hit singles in favor of her less-well-known songs. Honestly, Tracy Chapman was a severely underappreciated artist and I'm glad Mat is shining light on a lost gem.
