A moderator has a simple binary presence/absence judgment to make, is there an accusation of lying or not, just as in the case with any other insult, its either there or it isnt, the opinions around the insult are not relevant in anyway.

Lets be clear we are not talking common claims like strawmaning, handwaving etc that might imply bad faith, we are talking the straight up accusation of arguing a position you don't believe to be true aka lying.

I have for my sins been posting on this forum for over a decade (**** my life) and have seen all the trolls, all the swings from left to right and back again, but in all that time even if someone was laughing at your argument and calling you an idiot, it was always assumed it was an argument you believed in.

In this case a moderator has the easiest of calls to make, which makes it baffling why they get it so wrong.

Not only do they have a simple and obvious binary call to make, 99% if not 100% of this new means of trolling comes from one poster and that is not remotely close to being hyperbole.

And lets be clear, this is not the first time this issue has been raised and I am not the first poster to raise it.

Just seems weird how this specific form of **** posting is allowed to keep trucking with zero action from the mods.

Correct that those of us who are mostly here to engage would have much higher content %ages if there's a cooperative effort.

The biggest problem by far when in comes to no content are those who are just here to troll and disruput any engagament . They both add almost nothing and increase the low content from the rest of us.

Absolutely. Bias is a serious problem that can be mitigated soemwhat with atrategies as long as we are aware of it. But is impossible to overcome completely or correctly.

It's why reasonable inference/ etc by mods was such bull. It embraces bias rather than tries to mitigate it. Much better now.

Hmm, so maybe your personal judgement about what is acceptable in internet forums isn't universally accepted, as you claimed.

Just put anyone you think is a troll/bad-faith poster on ignore. If everyone who thinks that about a poster does this there won't be anyone left to be trolled. They can yell at the clouds on their lonesome and discussions are not sidetracked.
