Always gotta put that little 5-bet in with 105o for balance. We make all the straights and half the flushes. It's basically a broadway draw with backdoors.

what if we want someone else to self-ban?

say for example, for writing 105o instead of T5o

or for being chezlaw

Sure they can become over whelming of an original discussion, but where the MODS have their sensitivity set to now is way way too over sensitive.

Ultimately this forum is a form of entertainment. Why so serious?

Removing a reply so it stands alone, divorced from its family of context and meaning, sobbing, afraid, isolated, excised.

Cruel imo.

I guess the holy pure sanctity of the riggie thread, or "multiple posters beating up on the last surviving riggie thread " must be maintained, for reasons.

Looking back, it was a mistake to move these posts.

I have moved them back, but of course the momentum from the discussions is likely long gone.

My apologies.

The cool kids in class used the "Elizabeth Holmes" thread to argue over who was best at spelling, the conversation was moved to the containment thread.

Thanks for noticing I'm a cool kid.

I locked the Trans/ thread. Just silly back and forth. Neither combatant is giving an inch so..so soooooooooo, nothing will EVER be settled.

/giddy over being a mod

That thread was fascinating. I really wanted to see how long it could go on.

I couldn't have written a more fitting final post if I had known it would be locked. Good riddance!

This statement is objectively false.

Well okay, the thread itself wasn’t interesting, but seeing CP spew on and on every day with mountains of text was amazing. Completely unhinged over something that does not affect him personally in the slightest.

My neighbor loved her little yapper dog dearly. The poor thing had gotten to an age where it couldn't really walk anymore so she carried it everywhere. The thing couldn't even yap anymore. I guess it could barely muster enough strength to drag itself to it's food bowl and then fall asleep there after is had managed to eat. This went on for months as my neighbor either didn't have the heart to put it down or doesn't know that's a thing (my wife didn't know that's a thing so plausible). I was so relieved when that dog finally died and was out of it's misery.

I'm concerned for Cuepee, and what his outlet will now be. Those 4,000 words/day* have to go somewhere!

*I don't think he actually averages 4,000 words/day in that thread. But he made it there yesterday!

Spoiler:
Yes, I really counted them (actually cut-and-pasted into word, got rid of links, tags, etc., and looked at the total). And yes, I know it's sad that I did, but it only took me 4 minutes. I timed it.

Spoiler:
Yes, that's sad too. This is why I'm weaning myself off of 2+2.

A few years ago, I had a colleague who liked the sound of his own voice a little too much - not dissimilar to some posters here (not you, QP, you're good!) - and his emails were rather verbose to say the least. I used to copy-paste them into Word and use the "Auto-Summarize" feature at 25% to condense his missives into something more digestible. Not sure if that feature still exists, but it was a godsend. I don't think I ever missed anything important in his emails and he never suspected that I was doing this.

Ok now this has me concerned. LOL.

Is the forum being shut down by the new owners? Why am I losing my place to spew all my words??

haha, even i sigh when I look back at my posts.

I really do struggle with brevity and getting my ideas down in short form.

What happens, I think, is that i try to start addressing what I think will be the person's rebuttal points in advance in one killer long post.

Let me explain here for a moment what I think you will reply to that ...

… Stop right there!

Spoiler:

I gotta know right now!
Before we go any further!
Do you love me?

I wonder too cuepee what's the deal with it. Why do you have so much time to write all this stuff? Don't you think it's a waste of time? I mean if it makes you happy then perfect. You surely are adding great content at times. You seem like a smart and pretty cool person. But why do you argue so much sometimes over a tiny detail? If you haven't looked into rhetorics you might want to look into it. It's the art of effective communication, meaning you can use the least amount of words to get your point across or to convince the other party in the shortest amount of time. Sometimes less is more . I heard men don't talk too much, meaning they use less words than women. If they say something it should/could be meaningful. Of course that's a stereotype but it's also proven. Men talk less words.

Do you have a Twitter account? Are you using it like 2plus2? It seems to me that you would reach more people on Twitter. Twitter or other oulets could be could be good and bad for you. Are you just using this site for enjoyment? Would you characterize yourself as someone who has a problem with compulsive behaviour? I don't mean to critizize you just to help you.

Looking at this text I admit I also have a compulsive personality. But I click on post, whatever.
