I don't think beautiful prose is the key to grifting the right wing.

I'd probably go about it by telling them that they are the left and that they are morally superior to the right.

How responsible individuals are for their action is more or less a philosophical question.

That being said, I think it is one of many shortcomings of "The Cathedral" (to steal a term from Curtis Yarvin) that there isn't very much introspection of what the downstream consequences of the capture of academia by progressive group think might be.

Don't worry, I'll be sure to add my own flourishes.

You certainly are posting a graph to try to show some sort of correlation, but that just gets back to my original point -- for every bad thing done by the right, you find some reason that the left is responsible. It's as if the right has no ability to just say, "you know what? maybe we can choose good today and not just be anti-left for the sake of it."

(I tried to embed the picture itself, but failed. Anyways, it is basically a graph of homicide rate by race, so we all know what it says without even needing to click on it, and most people recognize there are systemic factors that go beyond some simple good vs evil paradigm)

I am going to go out on a limb than when presented with the above data your first impulse isn't to assert that certain people just choose to do bad when they should choose good (and should be judged and punished accordingly), and you find yourself interested in exploring systemic causes?

This is a laughable rebuttal. ganstaman's point is that you blame the left for every sin of the right. Nobody blames every murder on systemic causes.

This is an interview Fareed did with a Palestinian expert. In the interview the expert flatly says Hamas did not and does not target civilians. And Fareed did not challenge this clear falsehood at all.

In a pre Elon/X world the entire establishment would have colluded to suppress the truth of what happened, no civilians were targeted would have become the prevailing narrative, and Israel would immediately come under huge international pressure not to retaliate.

However, in a post Elon/Twitter world obviously we are all getting a first hand view to the rape/torture/kidnap/murders of civilians. Ironically, Hamas itself is the one providing most of the footage, as their hundreds of millions of supporters around the world fully support and are heartened by the activities included in the videos. God is Great is the prevailing response to the rape/torture/murder.

And now that the whole world can see what happened, Israel is obviously going to be given a lot longer leash to retaliate. In fact, if the establishment (mostly Democrats) try to gaslight they will be absolutely crushed in the polls I suspect. Not Omar or Tlaib obviously, as they represent constituencies who approve of the rape/murder/kidnapping; but most of the other Democrats, including Biden.

In short, Elon's purchasing Twitter and the Establishment losing control of the narrative has put us into very unchartered waters as far as the Israel/Palestinian conflict goes, especially how the US involves itself. I really have no idea what happens next.

It's just mind boggling how you come up with things like this. I'm guessing that like every time before, you don't have any real way to back this up? It's just your feelings that led to these beliefs?

Kel is basically the protagonist of "A beautiful mind" (I won't say John Nash, as that film is mostly fiction), but without the genius.

nothing has shown the opposite of all of whatever this crap is than these events.. elon's twitter has been effectively taken over by bots posting fake information and old/edited videos of this conflict. and they are getting paid and farmed for engagement. twitter has become completely worthless as a news aggregator of real time events. this is one of the worst takes i've ever seen.

Also LOL at thinking the "narrative" would be pro-Palestinian peace.. nearly every single politician including most left wing ones came out and basically said Israel should be free to do whatever they want in retaliation and that we'd fund it..

The Israeli response has barely started. I am not even sure they have cleared out the terrorists yet. Last time I checked they hadn't. Lets see what Democratic politicians (at least the ones that haven't already come out as pro terrorist) are saying in a week.

Also, like I said we are living in a post Elon/X world where the cat is out of the bag. I think if the establishment could have controlled the images/narrative from the jump they could and would have reacted differently. Obviously this isn't something one could prove or disprove.

Am I correct to assume that the establishment isn't able to control the post Elon / X world as much as before?

You seem quite confident in this establishment circle on power, which is fine, but can you offer any assumptions or opinions on any spefic names or organizations that are heavily involved - and are not just a pawn of the establishment? Is it so powerful to be able to operate without any employees or connections leaking leads?

If it is that capable to not give anything away, what's were your clues on thinking that this particular organization exists?

Go ahead and substitute Cathedral for Establishment and this is more or less what I mean.

Information that runs counter to preferred narratives isn't nearly as harmful to them as you seem to think, and for whatever reasons (some perhaps esoteric and others more practical), I think they want those streams of information out there.

The ultimate plan remember is that this current system we have is torn down and built anew, but in order for that to happen there needs to be a significantly large group of people who are dissatisfied with the current system. If the information that would cause people to become dissatisfied is restricted, then they'll have a harder time pushing the changes they want in the future.

We got a couple of revolutionaries discussing strategy over here, folks.

So what's the plan? Are we bringing down the system from within?

Or at all, to be fair. I just saw something about the ultimate plan and the system being torn down.
