The media is really slow rolling the identity and motives of the KC parade shooters. Whatever happened, we know it doesn't fit any approved narratives, other than "guns bad."

You obviously have some ideas about what really happened, and you obviously don't think those ideas fit any "approved narratives," whatever that means.

Having worked in downtown Kansas City my best guess is that somebody saw someone they didn't like and decided to shoot at them.

It is amusing how everyone plays, "babes in the woods" and suddenly has no clue how the media operates when it is ideologically convenient. The media always has necessary information pretty much right away. IF it is a ideologically convenient narrative they want to report, they negotiate with the local authorities for a short time frame before they start doing stories and releasing details. This is often a very short time frame of hours.

If it is a story they dont really want to cover for ideological reasons, they will let the authorities take all the time they want, and wait for things to die down so the story can be buried.

The fact there is no information being released almost a day later tells us a lot. But yeah, you go ahead and "believe" everyone is just doing their due diligence to get the facts right before reporting what happened.

Multiple gun men and rifles involved would indicate some sort of gang turf war or possibly terrorism. Probably the former given it is Kansas City.

Kansas City obviously has the unfortunately distinction of being a progressive pro-crime city in a Republican pro gun ownership state, and the obvious pathologies one would expect from such a combination. Worst of both worlds.

They're calling it a personal dispute.

I mean in europe when the suspect of any heinous crime that just happened is white they (MSM) tell that in the headline everytime, when it's an immigrant they tell it far later and only in the article text, that's well known by everyone

Teenagers appear to have been involved and there appear to have been multiple shooters. It could have been a gang dispute that happened to explode during this event. It could have been a preexisting personal dispute that had nothing to do with gangs. Or it could have been a random fight between teenagers who happened to be carrying weapons, although that seems less likely.

Either way, I don't know why you think the media would be reluctant to report on that aspect of the story. A crime obviously was committed. It is hardly unusual for the media to attribute crime to gang activity or teenagers. I'd say it is closer to a time-honored tradition than a no-fly zone.

Yep. Also, any male victim under 20 is a "boy" and any male perpetrator over 15 is a "man".

I think if you're talking about party leadership then yes. I think if you're talking grassroots then you'll find more flag burners voting D.

Yeah. I wouldn't say the Democrat Party hates America. I would say broadly the Democratic coalition has more members that promote such rhetoric*, and the party itself is mostly agnostic towards this rhetoric coming from their side.

*It should be noted that many (most?) of the left-oriented people preaching anti-American rhetoric are some of the most productive, important people in actually perpetuating the American empire. It is not like Ivy League SJP members are graduating and joining ISIS or Hamas. They are getting high paying jobs that support the system and pay their taxes.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE PARADE SHOOTING SUSPECTS?
Two adults, Lyndell Mays of Raytown and Dominic M. Miller of Kansas City, were charged with second-degree felony murder. According to the prosecutor, Mays allegedly got into an argument with a stranger and eventually pulled his gun, prompting others, including Miller, to do the same.


They were also each charged with two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

Two teens were charged with gun-related and resisting arrest offenses in Jackson County family court. Suspects’ names are not released in family court. Depending on the severity of the charges, the youths could be tried as adults.
