Fact is that a large number of people who eat a "Vegan Diet' do not want to use that label, rightly because of purists like you who ar3e just waiting to call them lazy and put them to purity tests. You have relished the chance to 'test' my friend and admitted how you even like 'testing' the current vegans as many of them you find ignorant. For that group of 'prior' vegans they do not feel, rightly, that they should just call themselves Flexitarian or Mediterranean diet or anything you think they should go by. They are redefining plant based, into a category 'Plant Based' which is simply the "vegan diet without the broader ethical elements'. That is it. Plain and simple to understand and know exactly what they are eating and what a restaurant that has changed its category from Vegan to Plant Based is offering.

I have provided you link after link, even in NY and Cali where you laughably thought the trend had not started yet (SURPRISE) and you can now pretend you knew that. If you see a restaurant that was vegan prior and is now saying they are Plant Based, you know what the menu is. All of the links show they are using is synonymously and interchangeably for vegan.

You should stop replying to me and instead send angry emails to the list of restaurants in Vancouver, Portland, Cali and NYC that i have linked for you. Yes, plant-based has always existed for a diet comprised of mostly plants - a Mediterranean diet is a plant-based diet, for example. "Plant Based" is a dumb label invented by you and your pretentious friend to try and hijack the meaning of plant-based so that your dumb friend doesn't have to say she eats a vegan diet.
