You're missing the point. The point was that the media frames stuff for their own ends, and we for the most part just buy their framing, no matter how absurd it is in a vacuum. This was an example of that that came to mind. And I think your rationalizations for why the Black Israelite part of such an otherwise big story isn't a big deal shows a lot of cognitive dissonance and buying into the framing on your part. You disagree. It is what it is.
FWIW, The MSM news cycle on this lasted about 5 days, culminating on his appearance on The Today show, before melting into the ether. All the major outlets were still commenting on it 4-5 days in. If you don't think it is a very big deal or the media did anything wrong, that is fine. So far, at least one judge agrees with you, because he threw out one of the lawsuits. But at least lets not rewrite history about what actually happened.
