Not much of a military weapon anyway. Snipers use versions but infantry use the automatic mode.

Just something that someone who plays video games probably thinks makes him invincible.
More often then not it is the version with single shot and 3 shot burst. Normally used in single shot unless cover fire situation, even the then it is usually the guy with the SAW.

There's a lot more to it, that's beyond the scope of this thread.

But, a lot of people mean different things and I find some people who consider themselves not-leftists do embrace a lot of ideas which would distribute power more broadly and some people who consider themselves leftists embrace concentrations of power.

Shrug.

Hi Microbet, missed you!
I’m not mad about the unstuck thing just bewildered. I thought the responses were more insane than mean. Like I was reading that thread and thinking “wat” .
So I just rolled my eyes and went somewhere else.

In my experience authoritarianism is like one of those things where people who are very authoritative are not necessarily dumb but they tend to be less intelligent. The whole idea of controlling other people and what they do, sure it’s a strong sign of psychopathy and being a sociopath but in the real world it’s often just a lack of intelligence or imagination in regards to solving an issue. If the country was solely run by people with 80 iqs they would shoot people for minor crimes and consider it just because that would be their solution to stop “criminals” . And that actually happens . The dumberer you are the harder it is to empathize with people even on a superficial level.

I myself may have that problem on a different scale in certain issues, like how IÂ’m for massive reform ( ending most of the misdemeanor system, ending solitary confinement, ending private prison, legalizing drugs, etc etc) but when I envision the right criminal justice system in my mind it looks a lot like NorwayÂ’s criminal justice system. I wouldnÂ’t say IÂ’m for total abolishment of all prisons and it may be because that idea doesnÂ’t work in my mind because I donÂ’t see how it could work, and maybe I donÂ’t see it because IÂ’m not very smart.

Actual dumb people are affected much more strongly by this and donÂ’t see how all sorts of things both major and minor could work with changes.

Just sort of hinting that a shotgun is what you want when you're dealing with a throng of attackers at close range.

In the military you're using different tactics and you'll have grenades etc to use when you get close. Just standing there with a semi automatic rifle when you're being attacked by 20 or 30 people isn't a good situation. Which is why it's stupid to put yourself into it.

A shotgun is all you would need anyways for home defense. If you're too worried that a situation may arise where there are too many bandits for the shotgun to handle or that you don't want to deal with repairing the walls then you're just a real beauty.

Just handle your biz with a shotgun if need be and go grab some putty at home depot.

So you're saying he should have brought a 12-gauge and blasted multiple people who weren't attacking him just so he made sure he got the one who was attacking him? Yes, I know you don't think he should have been there, nor do I, but your choice there is a 12-gauge over an AR15?

What's funny is you don't think a guy taking a 5.56 to the chest will incentivise people to descend when they see the carnage from that round.

Shotguns are messy and loud. Two things that help keep the crowd at bay.

I'd imagine anyone who is kept away by a shotgun is kept away by an assault rifle, and vice versa.

I don't think so. No one really seemed to mind that KR was shooting his attackers. Rifles are clean and quiet.
I suspect if the first guy gets splattered along with that canon like sound the other guys take a second thought.

They mostly froze or ran off when he fired. I don't think it would have mattered whether it was a shotgun or an AR.

I get that the guys we know about were mentally depleted but there seems to be some growing assumption that dudes with ARs either wouldn't actually use it or that if I just walk around behind him then I'll certainly have an edge over the guy who needs to turn and move a finger.

They weren't actually threatened by RH until he fired which is weird as ****. People shoot people all the time.

We'll never know but he shot three of the depleted ones before it sunk in.

I really do suspect the learning curve would have been much quicker but, the lack of brains is a wild card. I'll give you that.

Compared to a shotgun they're pretty quite. Yeah.

But you don't have to convince me. Bring what you like next time a group of kids walks down your street and you feel the need to defend your lawn.

It's pretty clear you haven't seen a firearm, let alone shot any of them. A 5.56 is louder than a 12-guage.

Again, drop the BS. Pretty clear you're losing if you need to resort to calling rioters bricking houses and setting **** on fire as kids walking down your street.

How clear is it ?

You're the guy who is arguing that it's sensible to stand on your front lawn and display your weapon to groups of passersby.
The guys you used as an example where walking down a street banging vinyl siding with sticks. That's your example so if it's BS it's your BS.

Yes, comprehending what you say and discussing it is trolling.

So Twitter's curation algorithm decided to put him into your feed based on the other rightwing dipshits you follow, good stuff. Great to see the social media info bubble works exactly as planned.

I don't mean to embarrass you too much here, but if I logged on to twitter.com and it told me "Here a grifty Glenn Beck understudy that we think you're sure to love!" I would be a bit concerned about my life choices.

To be fair, I have some "election was stolen" acquaintances on Facebook, and sometimes I read too many of their posts or reposts in disbelief. Facebook then sends me more content like that.
