Oliver falsely claimed Trump said something. He also falsely claimed that Republicans were lying when they correctly stated that Trump didn't say what Oliver falsely claimed he said, making two false claims in less than three minutes into his piece.
If you claim somebody said something you need to provide the verbatim quote of that somebody saying the something you're claiming that somebody said, if you wish your claim to be accepted as fact. That applies to everyone.

I stated Trump condemned neo nazis and white supremacists. I stated he said he wasn't referring to such types with his fine people comment. I stated he said bigotry violence and hatred had no place in America.

I was able to provide the verbatim quotes to back up my statement.

Well, if we're moving on, then I think mr. John Oliver and his team uses the humorous format to make some truly excellent journalistic pieces. Such a format can make for focus on issues that would otherwise be a dry anecdote on page 3.
