My take is definitely hot, but I imagine myself in the prosecutor’s shoes here going to someone at main Justice and saying “hey, how about a plea deal for this guy Epstein!”

Not unless it involves the rest of his life in jail. Which case it is doubtful that Epstein would consider such a deal.

these same people arguing that there isn't enough proof in rape allegations are the same people arguing we should absolutely believe andy Ngo had a brain hemorrhage based on only his word.

we get it, people hate women.

there are soo many crimes and instances in the criminal justice system where the only evidence is a victim and no one bats an eye, but if that victim is a victim of sexual assault/rape then all the skeptics come out..

I’m arguing that there isn’t enough evidence with respect to rape allegations against Clinton or others who rode on Epstein’s plane, and that observation is obviously correct. It seems to me that there is plenty of evidence to support allegations against Epstein.

Rape itself isn’t a federal offense. I’ll need to go back and read the indictment carefully, but I’m fairly sure the crimes it alleges involve transporting underage women across state lines for purposes of sex, i.e. human trafficking offenses.

Evidence developed in the federal case can of course subsequently used by various states to prosecute straight-up rape or other offenses.

Qualifier: I’m in no way expert at criminal law.

He already got a plea deal and it cost Acosta his job. No pleas here for Epstein unless he gives up heads of state, but he'd probably not want to put his life in danger.

Assuming he sold the evidence back to those he blackmailed, how is Epstein's word good for anything other than the defense using it to protect their accused clients? The madam seems like the puzzle piece that will either put this picture together or prevent it from materializing.

In addition to Ghislaine Maxwell, there appear to have been two other women who recruited and organized underage “masseuses” for Epstein. One is now a commercial Gulfstream pilot. And there seems to be no news about the location of the other. You have to think there’s a prisoner’s dilemma going on among these three at the moment.

The madam is at the very least pictured with a prince and one of the alleged victims. She's also pictured at Chelsea Clinton's wedding, but that's only circumstantial and let's assume she wasn't the only invitee who knew Epstein and Clinton. She's still got the goods on someone, and if the events occurred here, that should be good enough to bring him in for questioning under oath unless royalty is immune to justice.

The blackmail-operation narrative is imo pretty problematic. How many people could he get away with doing that to until the word gets out internally amongst the elite that he should be avoided?

None , and what would even lead you to that assumption? Because I'm well versed in historical events? Why would you try to invalidate facts by injecting that kind of biased rhetorical assertion? I don't ignore history or twist it to suit a narrative. And I saw that in Rolling Stone or the Times.

Howard:

I assume "prisoner's dilemma" in this context means SDNY prosecutors indict all three of these women simultaneously as accessories to Epstein's crimes. At some point, all three women become "Queen for a Day" being told "OK, the first one to talk gets the best deal."

This reminds me of a standard "Law & Order" episode.

Generally that's right, although remember that the federal crimes involve an underage woman moving across state lines for sexual purposes and do not involve rape itself. I can pull the statute and post the language if you like, but if Maxwell was herself involved in getting girls to cross state lines, she herself is just as liable as Epstein is. Additional hot take: she's probably out of the country; she's Robert Maxwell's daughter and was born in the U.K., so I am guessing she is still a U.K. citizen.

Blimey I didn't know that. I wonder if there was any connection between Epstein and the late Robert Maxwell - he was a piece of work and rumoured to be involved with intelligence.

Quote:
The British Foreign Office suspected that Maxwell was a secret agent of a foreign government, possibly a double agent or a triple agent, and "a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia." He had known links to the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to the KGB, and to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.[42]

Former Supervisory IRS Agent Details How SDNY Prosecutors Likely To Go After Epstein

https://www.thedailybeast.com/former...teins-finances

So, it looks like if they don't get him on the sex trafficking charges, they'll sure as hell get him for tax evasion crimes. This is why I wonder if Epstein might still be able to bargain for reduced prison time after he's convicted? Let's assume he's convicted on multiple counts of tax evasion, money laundering, and various other financial crimes - in addition to sex trafficking offenses. Conviction on just one count of having "child porn" on your computer can get you a 20-year prison sentence. If he's convicted on that - plus an assortment of financial crimes - he's probably looking at a 50+ year prison sentence. At age 66, it would effectively be a life sentence for Mr. Epstein.

Since Mr. Epstein, according to the article, was offering "tax shelter advice" to his wealthy clients, it's very possible that some of those clients might be involved in the same kind of financial crimes for which Epstein may wind up being convicted. Staring at an effective life sentence, Mr. Epstein might be very willing to rat out his former clients in exchange for a reduction in his sentence - say to something like 10 years in exchange for giving up all his clients? (Just speculating, but this is why I think [at least one] of Mr. Epstein's former clients may be thinking this is a good time for Epstein to develop a sudden [fatal] illness ...)

For many victims, last week’s incarceration of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein represents belated justice after more than a decade of impunity and governmental complicity.

Beneath that gloomy surface, however, an even darker picture emerges: federal prosecutions of those who trafficked children for sex dropped 26.7% over the last year.

The startling numbers appeared Tuesday in a report from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University.

“If the present pace of such prosecutions continues, the fiscal 2019 total will be 162, compared to 221 last year,” TRAC’s report states.

The Obama administration dramatically ramped up such prosecutions, climbing threefold from 85 cases in 2009, the year the 44th president took office, to more than 260 during his final year in the White House.

While those prosecutions held steady in the first year under President Donald Trump, TRAC’s analysis of Justice Department data says they have taken a dramatic plunge every year since.

“Compared to five years ago, the estimate of FY 2019 prosecutions of this type is down 32.2 percent, from 239,” the study says. “However, prosecutions over the past year are still much higher than they were ten years ago, up 90.6 percent from the 85 reported in 2009.

Kid was REAL confident that the pro-pedo elite had scrubbed Tommy Robinson's Wikipedia page but when told of a DIFFERENT group of sex criminals suddenly it's all "source for this claim"?

He posted a text wall of copy-pasted information. It is bizarre not to cite what he is copy-pasting IMO.

But you do you.

Edit: I still contend it is bizarre, and probably not accidental, you have to make it down to cite 129 of his Wikipedia article to see what Tommy Robinson is actually in jail for.

Tommy Robinson has been to jail several times, so some of those earlier cites are about his prior incarcerations. But if you recall, you didn't ever link to any of the **** you said about him and in fact you kept the podcast/Youtube you learned about it a secret.

But someone throws a wall of unlinked text about political connected elites doing sex crimes and suddenly you're real skeptical! You can just google their names if you think he's making it up, but the more interesting part of it is that your first reaction was that he might be.
