Conspiracy theories aside, the man who send Epstein/Maxwell hundreds, if not thousands, of girls, including 12yo triplets as a 'present', probably wasn't going to be too popular in jail.

Once again a high suicide and homicide risk with no camera's available.

Jeffrey Epstein's pimp Jean-Luc Brunel 'hangs himself alone in Paris jail with no CCTV': Ghislaine Maxwell's family 'shocked and scared for her' as man who procured 1,000 women for paedophile financier dies days after Andrew deal

Jean-Luc Brunel, 76, was found hanging in his cell in La Santé, Paris, at 1am during a night time check in
The fashion agent was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport in December 2020 while trying to fly to Senegal
He was suspected of being a member of infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein's global underage sex ring
Ghislaine Maxwell's family said they were 'shocked' by Brunel's death and said they are 'scared' for her safety
Death in an alleged hanging will fuel conspiracy theories around the Epstein affair after he also died in prison
Brunel is thought to have been alone in the cell and there were no cameras to record his final hours

...
You think they would know there would be a lot of suspicion should he die and thus they should ensure camera's are in place.

Damn this high level of incompetence at every level.

Epstein funded some famous places. They won't return the funds.

Imo it's impossible that all cameras break at the same time. He is the highest profile suicide watch they ever had and everything is malfunctioning, yeah right.. some prison in el Salvador would have done better.

With Epstein's suicide it was far more than just multiple cameras being out in the ward they choose to put him. They also made a last minute hurried decision to transfer him from Suicide Watch confinement to a regular cell with a roommate.

But bad luck, that roommate had a last minute transfer approved so he was leaving the cell.

That meant by standing policy Epstein could not be put in that cell or they had to find another roommate.

But good luck, as that requirement was over ridden last minute and he was allowed to have the cell but himself regardless.

But bad luck it was not prepared for suicide prevention.

But good luck they overrode that too.

But bad luck they guards who are supposed to be on duty and checking in on him often were derelict that night and did not do there rounds.

Judge rules Jeffrey Epstein documents to be unsealed; billionaires brace for impact

...One of the people named in the documents is Tom Pritzker, the billionaire executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels and cousin of Illinois governor JB Pritzker,...

...When Pritzker’s attorney objected on the grounds that the revelation would harm his client’s reputation, Preska disagreed with his premise, asserting that the documents were already available in other cases and that their contents did not specify malicious actions.

John Doe 107 also filed an objection, claiming that the unsealing of the documents was a violation of their privacy. The judge knocked that objection down as well.

Another associate of Epstein’s named Emmy Taylor, who is a former personal assistant to Ghislaine Maxwell, is named in the documents. She is accused of being involved in the abuse of Epstein and Maxwell’s victims.

Taylor is mired in a separate lawsuit and objected to the unsealing of the documents. She steadfastly denies doing anything wrong while working for Maxwell.

The judge also ordered documents connected to John Doe 183 to be unsealed as well, since they were the “subject of intense media coverage.” However, the release of those documents will not occur until November 28 so the individual has the option to appeal her decision.

“In the court’s view, there’s no reason to redact Doe 183 from the documents,” she ruled...

John Doe 147’s documents will also be unsealed. That person is said to be Epstein victim Sarah Ransome. The judge noted that Ransome was a sex abuse victim but since she testified in another case publicly, the documents can be unsealed. She also published a book detailing her abuse and wrote a Washington Post op-ed...

why does it cost 1M to file an appeal?

can you buy stay out of jail card for 1M, wtf?

"GHISLAINE Maxwell faces dying behind bars because her estranged husband refuses to send her money to lawyers for an appeal."

"Maxwell was dumped by Scott Borgerson while in jail and he is ignoring her requests for $1million
Until it is transferred, her legal team cannot work on appeals against her conviction and 20-year sentence, which must be lodged by January’s end."

why one million? an appeal doesn't cost that much. one million is pocket change for her and she is requesting that money for her lawyers, her husband ignores that request. mighty fine, well played. idiots. why can't she find a cheaper lawyer and have her brother come up with some money? it all doesn't make much sense here.

The article of course doesn't say that it costs $1 million to file an appeal. Filing costs almost nothing. $500K in legal fees to do all the briefing and argument on appeal wouldn't surprise me at all.

And she probably owes her lawyers money right now.

thanks, yea that's what I figured. that her legal team is one of the best and super-expensive. but 500k for briefing and argument on appeal? I wanna see their hourly rate. she is an idiot if she owns her lawyers money right now, especially if you consider that she just sold one of her mansions for over 10M imo and that you shouldn't owe lawyers money in a situation like this. but she is a confirmed idiot either way to have done the things she has done thinking she would get away with it. owning layers in her situation is just the icing of the cake in this episode, if you are right here.

she has time till January to appeal. and for that she would need one million according to this article. assuming the legal team is asking for that amount of money. fwiw from my experience she could get it for much cheaper, but then again who would take on such a case for less money?

Hourly rates for the most experienced lawyer working on the appeal are likely to be in the range of $1500 per hour. Younger, less experienced lawyers who are assisting of course will be billing at a much lower rate.
