Israel hasn't been perfect. That doesn't mean i should white knight antisemites. Or tell Israel to stop without coming up with a better plan

Israel fired on the thousands of people returning to the North yesterday.

today they have sealed off a school where many are sheltering and they will no doubt murder most of them.

this is what you guys support.

Are you suggesting that killing a lot of your opponents means not winning a war? That doesn't seem to be your position in Gaza. I wasn't making a judgment about whether the war was worth it or not. The question was whether or not the USA won it.

I was commenting that to win a war, there's going to be a lot of civilian casualties. It's a war

Israel rejected hostage swap offers on Oct 10 or whatever. Wrap your head around that one. It’s not Palestines fault that Israel submits unrealistic peace deals. Would you take a shitty peace deal?

Luciom,

I misremembered something I had looked up previously which was gdp per capita.

Give up 400 prisoners for 40 hostages for a 6 week ceasefire and a promise of lots of aid

That's only a bad deal if you're a terrorist who wants your own people to die to gain sympathy

Is only a shitty deal if you already killed most of the hostages

GDP per Capita isn't terrible usually but when a country has significant portions of it's national economy linked to natural resources it's much better to use PPP.

and GNI is generally better than GDP to account for foreigners using your country as a base for profit shuffling (Ireland) or siphoning off significant parts of your national income, if what you want to check is actual residents quality of life.

both the use of PPP instead of nominal USD numbers, and GNI over GDP aren't mandatory, but especially in Iraq case they make really a lot of sense

Most were killed in the entirely predictable infighting/civil war. Around 30000 Iraqis were killed in the invasion and that includes military. The hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths were a consequence that didn't help win the war.

You continue to confuse hostages with criminals.

I assume it’s intentional.

This is a little old, but

"According to a 2010 assessment by John Sloboda, director of Iraq Body Count, 150,000 people including 122,000 civilians were killed in the Iraq War with U.S. and Coalition forces responsible for at least 22,668 insurgents as well as 13,807 civilians, with the rest of the civilians killed by insurgents, militias, or terrorists.[89]"

They aren’t mutually exclusive. You’re the one that’s confused about what definitions are
