GDP per Capita isn't terrible usually but when a country has significant portions of it's national economy linked to natural resources it's much better to use PPP.

and GNI is generally better than GDP to account for foreigners using your country as a base for profit shuffling (Ireland) or siphoning off significant parts of your national income, if what you want to check is actual residents quality of life.

both the use of PPP instead of nominal USD numbers, and GNI over GDP aren't mandatory, but especially in Iraq case they make really a lot of sense

Most were killed in the entirely predictable infighting/civil war. Around 30000 Iraqis were killed in the invasion and that includes military. The hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths were a consequence that didn't help win the war.

Hamas raped we've murdered 100+ people and abducted 200. A few days later hamas said release 10k prisoners and westill releaase as many of the 200 hostages we can find and we are still going to shoot rockets at you. And lol @ the people we killed
