Ukraine poked the bear repeatedly. Look what happened. Palestine keeps poking the bear. And imo israel allowed them to attack so the west will fully unalive palestine.

Soon because of all the alliances and the evil usa empire ww3 will start. War is coming. Prepare yourself
The pipeline was destroyed after the invasion. The Russians should have just not invaded. That would show them.

If ww3 includes the United States, Israel, Ukraine, the EU, Japan, South Korea, and others vs Russia, China, Palestine, and others then it'll be over quickly.

whataboutism. another word for being morally consistent. liberals wouldnt understand. or maybe they do actually understand bc they are pretty consistently supportive of genocide and slaughter and whaddyakno, this time its no different.

I would like both situations to resolve diplomatically so that all sides are free politically and materially.

an equivalent to the liberal Ukraine position would be that Hamas and the Palestinians drive Israel out of the Middle East and take over all that land.

Israel kills 5500 civilians over 17 years
Palestine kills 350

Nobody cares until Palestine starts killing Israelis, but the numbers are still like 7000 dead Palestinians and 2k dead Israelis

What’re the Israelis mad about? I don’t understand

Are they mad that the Palestinians fought back? Isn’t that fair? The number show that it’s fair

They are doing the same thing to Israel that Israel does to them, I don’t see the problem.

Maybe someone can logically explain to me why Israel thinks it’s ok to kill Palestinians but not ok for the inverse

Best solution imo is the US gives all Palestinians free land and Israel has to pay for their country to rebuilt in America.

I’ll explain it slowly to you. You won’t care bc at the root of your argument is your disgust for Jews, but here goes.

Hamas tries to kill the Israelis all the time. They indiscriminately fire rockets into Israel. They attack every chance they get. Yesterdays massacre would happen daily if they had their way.

Thankfully Israel has the means to defend themselves. Otherwise Hamas would get their wish.

Israel is a prosperous place, where people of all religions, sexual orientations etc can live and be free. It isn’t a place that elected a terrorist group.

The idea that Israel can’t or shouldn’t retaliate is beyond insane. They should find every member of Hamas and ensure this doesn’t happen again.

I’ll step away from this thread now, bc arguing with a narrow-minded, ignorant hater of Jewish people isn’t worth the time.

No target of a surprise attack has ever thought this way in the history of the world.

I'm going to go out of on a limb and say that most Palestinians have no interest in leaving their home for the greater glory of living on the moral equivalent of a reservation in some backwater of the United States.

Not really, unless it was an all out nuclear war, in which case everyone would lose. I don't claim to be any sort of expert in military strategy, but I know that taking control of the Russian and Chinese mainlands with conventional military force would be an enormous undertaking.

I was going to say the same thing. Ukraine destroyed the pipeline in order to provoke a war with Russia is a wild take. Before you know it, we are going to learn that John Wilkes Booth assassinated Lincoln in order to convince the Southern states to secede.

I never said that Israel shouldn’t or can’t retaliate. Where did you get that from?

Can you explain the 5k Ps killed but 250 Israelis killed- why’re the Israeli terrorists settlers killing Palestinians?

Pointless, you can't give the Palestinians Texas. They dont even want that. They want the holy land, which they think belongs to them
It's all about the holy land.

I think if we offered all palestians land in the US, plus money, that many of them would take it . Gaza is the worlds largest prison; it is a terrible place that you cannot escape

I think the actual fighting would be quick. There would be a long nuclear stalemate.

Someone asked how far back we should go to discuss this, and one person said antiquity, fighting over possession of ancestral lands. To be honest, I completely reject this idea. Empirical evidence does not support it at all.

Humanity is one long line of moving on from "ancestral" lands. Of the 6 billion people on the planet, probably 4 billion don't live anywhere near where their ancestors did, and there is no issue. There is belief that there is a need to reclaim/stay on ancestral land because the people involved have been conditioned to believe this. Remove the conditioning, physically relocate, and the people (Israeli or Palestinian) would move on psychologically within one generation.

IF European leaders had not made a conscious decision to support Zionism form the 1920s-1940s, there would be no Israeli state and what was left of the Jewish diaspora after WWII would be just fine. And IF the Palestinian refugees had just been relocated to the US/Canada (or whatever) and provided reparations and whatever assistance was needed to get the ball rolling they would be doing just fine too.

The current disaster is a result of conscious decisions made by the US/Arab/European power brokers to support a "2 state solution" that never had a chance of working. There will never be a 2 state solution. The only way to end the conflict is for either the Palestinian state or Israel to cease existing. It just is what it is.

So i have read this thread and news articles and have some questions.

1. Why would Hamas do this , if they should know the response this would bring?
They gave Israel a pass to do with Gaza as they basically please. Are they trying to incite a world war this way ?

2. I have read numerous articles on how powerful the IDF is , how Israel is number 1 in the world for intelligence/counter intelligence gathering , along with it being a small border and an army that is very vigilant of that border , how was this attack allowed to happen without them noticing?

I dont get why hamas would provoke Israel and all the superpowers behind them and how Israel allowed this to happen, doesnt make sense to me.

Sadly, this world is so far away from peace right now. the next couple years are gonna be rough

I suspect the answer to this question is the current Netanyahu coalition govt is incompetent. It of course is a perverse irony of human tribal programming that they will most likely be able to take advantage of this incompetence to garner support. But I think it a giant incorrect reach to assume this is some diabolical Machiavellian plot on Netanyahu's part.

Israeli president/dictator was gonna get in trouble for bribery. So his party overthrew elections or something and turned Israel right wing.

War popping off ensures bibi becomes a hero and nobody questions his past corruption.

Not the same as Biden in Ukraine but not that diff.
