One million dollars per Palestinian is 5 trillion dollars. The GDP of the US in 2022 was 25 trillion dollars. No, 20% of US annual GDP and 2% of total habitable US land area (don't forget the 5 acres each) is not "way cheaper than what this war will cost". You have zero concept of orders of magnitude.

I was just throwing a number out there. How much do you think this conflict will cost ?

Also, giving immigrants $5 trillion over 10 years is not the same as giving rich people $5 trillion over ten years; that money will immediately go back into the economy. It probably wouldn’t even be that expensive to us, maybe $1 trillion total over 10 years

But let’s use $100k instead.

When I asked where they're supposed to live, I wasn't talking about the actual land. We know land is plentiful in the US but people need roofs over their heads, running water and heating etc, and jobs.

So progressive Hamas sympathisers are informing us that the naked, obviously grievously injured German woman being paraded through Gaza may not be dead (although she actually probably is) and only some of the murdered babies were decapitated. So I guess that is check-mate and the whole thing should be regarded as fake news, and both sides have fine people after all.

Also, a very high ranking Hamas official, from his plush office in Qatar has called for Muslims around the world to attack Israelis and Americans on Friday (I obviously dont speak Arabic, so if I am repeating a bad translation, go ahead and correct with what he actually said).

It's worth pointing out that when you start thinking about memes in terms of social reproduction, war and armies are socially reproduced in the same way as religion is. Barbara Ehrenreich (american anthropologist, died last year, fantastic writer) wrote a great book called 'blood rites' which looks at the origins and perpetuation of war as a cultural unit that reproduces itself despite efforts particularly in the last ~80 years to rid ourselves of it.
