tl;dr: in 2018, unarmed Palestinian protestors walked up to Israel's military fences as an organized protest and were murdered by the dozens and injured by the hundreds.

Most people are going to frame this as yet another instance of one nation warring with another. It's not. It's a fight of a nation of prison wardens against their prisoners.

Israel appears to be getting owned. Palestinian fighters are making ongoing progress into Israel. They even had a paragliding division fly pretty deep into Israel! That's some cool ****.

So far during the conflict Israel has killed about 6k Palestinians and 600 Israelis have died. This is over past 50-70 years.

What does this number show us??

The guy that made the opening posts was correctly banned, which suggests there was an appropriate amount of scrutiny applied there.

Not that it matters, but I do believe this is mostly a case of Israel reaping what it has sown. People dying should never be described as cool though.

The whole “dead people” images thing is something weird about our different media. In a lot of traditional media, which similarly doesn’t show such images, you got the sense quickly this was bad. But when I went on Twitter, and you see these images everywhere, man did it hit harder just how cruel these attacks were. But I also want to unsee a few of them (bucha in ukraine is permanently seered in my brain and I doubt that is healthy). Anyways this is no criticism one way or the other about gangstaman, it just got me thinking.
