yes it is fair. the supposed "good cops" cover up and protect the bad ones. but at this point it is very hard for me to believe that there are more than a minisucle amount of good ones anyway.

do you have any idea how much money gets pumped into the police departments in our country? while all other public amenities like schools, health care, social security, roads, food stamps, etc are getting slashed we are giving 100s of billions to the police.

and whats the money for? just recently there was a story of a small town police dept using it to buy a friggin grenade launcher. look at the protests and you will see the cops have like 5k dollars worth of armor and arms on them during these things. I read that it costs 100k to get a new car and they get new ones every couple years.

so while I certainly think that we should abolish the police, that is not what the word "defund" means. it means stop giving them infinite money while the population is uneducated and barely at subsistence with no public amenities.

(and yes I do think a community action can find a rapist and would likely do far better than the corrupt police that just throw the closest black person in jail but again words mean things and defund does not mean abolish and implement a "community action". since that should be obv I gotta think you are being intentionally disingenuous.)
