1) The protests are not just about bad cops. They are about systemic problems that all cops operate under

2) While they have their own, unique experience, Black cops are not a part of the black/white paradigm. All cops are the color blue (which is why you have people wearing shirts that say blue lives matter too)

3) Abolish/defund the police is an idea that has gained a lot of traction recently and many people have many different desires for what that entails, or believe it means. I personally view it as take money from departments, force them to change their militaristic ways, and use that money elsewhere in an effort to reduce crime in other ways than by threat of a bullet

Although calling someone right wing is not necessarily an insult never. It's just a categorisation.
Conservatives call liberals things like, socialist, communist and the like all the time. I'm a liberal but I don't like being called a communist. But it doesn't seem to bother conservatives calling people names and misrepresenting them. But if liberals do the same, conservatives are emmidiatly hurt and offended.

I'm just saying that nobody writes this without having some personal investment.

There are lots of people in the northeast, and I guess the north in general, who are Democrats, because of economic politics.
The easiest example is the unions. Let's remember, the north is where most of industry traditionally is in the country.
Majority of people are laborers who have depended on the unions to defend their middle class standard of living. But it's no surprise that lot's of these people are otherwise pretty conservative in their attitudes.

If Republican's were smart and embrace the unions, like they do the police unions, instead of looking at them as adveserial to capitilasm, Democrats wouldn't have a chance in this country.

But perhaps this is a subject for another thread.
